Climate/Geography

While Crescent League is made up of twenty-four (24) different islands, each varying in size and latitude, most of them maintain the same relative climate. The only differences come from the northern islands: namely Apex, Hiemal, and Algid, and the southernmost islands: Dele, Sylvania, and the southern tip of Paramount. These differences include the summer humidity levels and the temperature differences during the winter. The uppermost northern islands will have cool summers, averaging about seventy (70) degrees Fahrenheit and have cold, snowy winters that usually fall below the freezing temperature. The most southern islands’ summers are mildly humid with cold winters, though they are not as cold as the northern islands.

Most of the islands habitats are made up of wild forests, home to many, but not limited to, Bug, Ground, Normal, Plant, and Poison type pokégirls. Since rivers, channels, sounds, etc. run through the Crescent islands as boundaries, many Water type pokégirls will make their homes along the coastlines. These ferals are attracted to the large fish population Crescent supports, making seafood a common delicacy for humans and pokégirls alike. Although the three islands of Pinnacle, Marmoreal, and Eminent are not exactly mountainous, they are elevated roughly three hundred (300) meters above the other islands. These three islands are estimated to contain more feral Rock type pokégirls than the rest of Crescent. More feral Ice type pokégirls also seem to be sighted and caught more frequently on the islands of Apex and Hiemal then anywhere else in the league as well, usually during the winter months.

Throughout all of Crescent League, it is not uncommon to find many tamers to take refuge within Pokécenters as the month of November is ending, emerging back into the wild as the first week of March begins. During this time, the Pokécenters usually will hire more seasonal staff from the towns/cities that host the facilities in order to accommodate the influx of tamers. Some Pokécenters have even been known to transport some tamers to other nearby (and in the most extreme cases, to the other side of the league) facilities using pokégirls that are capable of Teleport. Tamers that do not wish to be relocated to another facility are usually removed from the Pokécenter. If tamers do decide to hunt ferals during this time, they will almost always have at least one of the following: one Fire type pokégirl, one pokégirl that has the ability to Teleport, or a bloodgift that gives them a natural resistance to tolerate even the coldest of climates. During this time of the year, Fire type pokégirls are usually hard to come by in league Ranches, causing their prices to double, and sometimes, triple the regularly priced amount.

Settlements throughout Crescent League all vary, whether it is: size, general population, geographical location, economics, etc. Most settlements are small, containing roughly one thousand (1,000) residents. If they live along the coastlines, these towns/cities will either strive by: general trading, fishing, creating and trading lumber, or a combination of the three. These economic methods are the most common ways that settlements thrive, but they are not limited to these three. Farming can be found in some settlements, but usually where trading and lumber are the dominant economy factors. Settlements that have fishing as their main economic factor will tend to have a large population of Water type pokégirls in their area, both feral and domestic. Fishing communities are usually not found in the northern islands of Crescent. Trading and traveling is usually done by either shipping or by taking interconnecting paths, which can range from small, narrow trails to large, wide roads. Ferries can be taken by travelers who wish to visit other islands, with the prices varying from island to island.
