Chapter 11

The Long Road

         Ashley carefully came to a hover, waiting for Nicholas to let go of her before landing next to him. “Are you okay, Master?”

         “What in the world did that HM teach you!” Nicholas gasped. “Because it sure didn’t teach you how to be gentle!”

         Ashley giggled and gave him a deep kiss. “It taught me how to fly with your dead weight hanging off me, that’s what.”

         “We are NOT doing that again until you have arms to hold me back.” Nicholas replied. “Clinging on for dear life is not fun.”

         “Don’t worry. Once I do, we’re going to be doing that as much as we can.” Ashley purred.

         Nicholas rolled his eyes and began walking south out of Lavender Town. “I feel like we’re back in Pewter with this next question. Do you want to be next?”

         Ashley’s eyes lit up and she winged in front of him excitedly. “You want me to evolve first?”

         “Technically Elizabeth evolved first.” Nicholas replied. “But between you, Dahlia, and Cassidy, I need to pick who’s next.”

         Ashley was about to exclaim her worth when she paused. “Make it Dahlia, Master.”

         Nicholas gave her an astonished look. “What?”

         “Make it Dahlia.” Ashley repeated. “Make it my Alpha, Master. I should wait.” She gave him a cheeky grin. “I can wait.”

         Nicholas smiled at her. “I can’t believe you’re saying that.”

         “It’s what should happen.” Ashley replied. “The old me would gloat that she was asked first. I know better now.”

         Nicholas laughed and raised her pokeball. “You’ve really matured.”

         He recalled the grinning Pidgeotto and released Dahlia. “You’re up, Dahlia!”

         Dahlia blinked in the sunlight. “Master? Are we in Fuchsia already?”

         Nicholas chuckled. “No, Ashley decided her Alpha should be the next to evolve.”

         Dahlia looked surprised for a moment before breaking into a smile. “I want her to be after me, Master. I know Cassidy deserves it just as much as she does, but Ashley is ready for it.”

         “I completely agree.”

         “So. We’re walking south?” Dahlia asked. “How far are we going?”

         “According to the map, quite a ways.” Nicholas replied. “We’ll probably be hiking for a week or two.”

         “Wow.” Dahlia replied in a hushed voice. “Well, that’s a lot of training, right Master?”

         Nicholas nodded. “A decent amount. Are you ready for it?”

         Dahlia looked hesitant. “Are we really ready for a trip that long?”

         “My bag is almost completely full of supplies.” Nicholas replied. “And I gave Victoria and Elizabeth packed bags before putting them in their pokeballs. We’ll be fine.”

         Dahlia nodded. “In that case, Master, I am.”

         Dahlia ducked the Water Gun her opponent fired and spun, her Razor Leaf attack peppering the Goldeen with scores of cuts. The girl cried out, stumbling to the side before collapsing from the pain.

         The latest tamer recalled his pokegirl. “Crap. Nice match.”

         “You too.” Nicholas replied. “Dahlia, you alright?”

         “I’ll be fine, Master.” Dahlia breezed. “Today I’m feeling even better.”

         “Don’t get too overconfident.” Nicholas cautioned. “We’re only on the second day of this journey.”

         “Aw, spoilsport.” Dahlia teased, but she still calmed down a bit. “This seaside walk is nice. If Victoria was out of her ball, she’d probably be playing in the waves like she did back in Cerulean.”

         “I don’t want to be distracted or she would be.” Nicholas replied. “Everyone would be out.”

         “I kind of look forward to the day where we’re not constantly traveling.” Dahlia said wistfully. “Still competing, maybe, but not traipsing over the entire league.”

         “Maybe one day.” Nicholas dismissively replied.

         Dahlia slowed when she saw the crowd gathered ahead of them. “Master?”

         Nicholas craned his neck. “I can’t see what’s going on.” As they got closer Nicholas began waving his arm. “Excuse me! Coming through!”

         “Nah, you ain’t.” One of the onlookers laughed. “Unless you want to brave the woods.”

         Nicholas glanced at the encroaching forest to the side of the pier. “Or through the water?”

         “Sure, if you want to get your dick snipped off by a Krabby.” The onlooker chuckled. “We’re waiting on a strong tamer to clear the path.”

         Nicholas frowned. “Why do you need a tamer to clear it? Is a tree down?”

         “Nope. Take a look for yourself.”

         Nicholas shouldered past and came to a halt in awe.

         An absolutely gargantuan pokegirl was sprawled right in the intersection, surrounded by piles of broken boxes and spilled fruit. Every few seconds he could see her chest rise and fall. “Is she asleep?”

         “Yup. That there is a Snorlax. Very rare to see down this far, she must have been starving.”

         “’Down this far’?” Nicholas asked as the crowd pushed him back.

         “They live in the mountains.” The onlooker explained. “You almost never see them out here.” He nodded at where one of the crowd was edging towards the pile. “Hey bud! Careful, she’ll swat you.”

         “I’ll just step past…” The man called.

         The man successfully made it a few feet before his foot tapped one of the pieces of fruit.

         Nicholas gasped when the Snorlax’s arm swung around in a flash and the man screamed when he was sent crashing back into the crowd.

         “Even if it looks like she’s asleep, she’s still dangerous.” The onlooker chuckled. “That’s why we’re waiting for a tamer.”

         “Well, I’m a tamer.” Nicholas offered, gesturing at Dahlia.

         The onlooker snorted. “A strong tamer. Half of us are tamers. None of us can handle something like her, though.”

         “Why not just capture her?”

         The onlooker laughed. “Yea right.” When Nicholas didn’t reply he frowned. “You’re serious?”

         “Well, if she’s asleep, why not? Just chuck pokeballs.”

         “There is no way something that size just goes quietly into a pokeball.” The onlooker scoffed. “And that would be like attacking her. You try it, she might wake up. And then you’re fucked.”

         “Well, I’d like to try.” Nicholas replied. “I need to get past here to get to Fuchsia.”

         The onlooker frowned. “Fuchsia? Why are you going all the way down there?”

         “To continue my league challenge.” Nicholas replied. “I have three badges so far.”

         A few more faces turned his direction and the original onlooker looked surprised. “Three badges?”

         “Well, yea. I would maybe have four, but Erika isn’t taking challengers for a while.”

         “You think…” The onlooker looked around. “Hey, everyone! Back up, back up!”

         Nicholas watched the crowd begin moving backwards. “What’s up?”

         “You never said you were a league challenger.” The onlooker replied, gesturing at the slumbering Snorlax. “If you want a go at her, be my guest.”

         Nicholas stared as the easily seven foot tall, built-like-a-tank woman in front of him came fully into view. “Um…”

         “I said go for it.” The onlooker laughed.

         Nicholas looked around. The entire crowd was watching him now and he groaned.

         “Dahlia, hit her with a Razor Leaf.”

         Dahlia nodded, standing at a safe distance before sending the attack slicing into the slumbering pokegirl.

         Nicholas’ jaw dropped when most of the leaves deflected off, the few cuts that appeared vanishing almost as quickly as they had been made. “What the…”

         “Um…” Dahlia threw another two attacks before giving up when they did no damage. “What’s going on, Master?”

         “Let me check something.” Nicholas said.

         “Snorlax. The sleeping-“ His pokedex started.

         “Yea, yea, wow she’s literally called the sleeping pokegirl.” Nicholas navigated through the entry. “Ah. Once a Snorlax eats enough, it goes to sleep, and almost nothing can wake it.” He did some more reading. “Huh. When sleeping like this, it heals all damage done to it. Apparently it’s a technique other pokegirls can learn, too.”

         “So what do we do, Master?” Dahlia asked.

         “Maybe we just throw…” Nicholas trailed off. “No. No, there’s a way to fix this.”

         Dahlia watched him pull off his pack and begin rifling through the pockets. “Master?”

         “Mr. Fuji must have known that Snorlax are in the area.” Nicholas replied, pulling out the flute the old man had given him. “Otherwise, why would he have given me this?”

         Dahlia slowly nodded. “You want to wake it up?”

         “If we wake it from its healing sleep, we can do some damage.” Nicholas looked a bit uneasy but still raised the flute to his lips. “Get ready, Dahlia. The pokedex says that despite her lethargic appearance, she hits like a truck.”

         Dahlia swallowed and turned to the slumbering Snorlax. “Ready, Master.”

         Nicholas began to blow. As the slide shifted back and forth within the flute the notes pierced the gentle afternoon.

         Nicholas continued to play while the Snorlax stirred, watching in fascination when she got to her feet. The Snorlax towered over Dahlia and the Ivysaur stared at the wild pokegirl with just a bit of fear.

         “Dahlia, NOW!”

         Dahlia started to attack before stumbling back when the Snorlax leaned back and let out a bellowing roar. The crowd that had been laughing moments ago suddenly vanished, each and every person running as fast as they could away from the angry Snorlax.

         “You can do it!”

         Dahlia shook herself at Nicholas’ call. She could do it. Her vines uncurled and she sent them whistling towards the Snorlax before she shook a barrage of leaves free as well.

         The wild pokegirl staggered from the attack, roaring again and zeroing in on where Dahlia stood. Dahlia chuckled nervously when the Snorlax took a step and shook the pier. “Hey there.”

         “DAHLIA!” Nicholas screamed when the Snorlax’s fist slammed into the Ivysaur. Dahlia coughed when she crashed into a nearby fencepost, slowly getting back to her feet and staring at the advancing juggernaut.

         “You’re a tough one.” Dahlia called. “I’ll give you that.”

         She sighed when the advancing Snorlax didn’t respond. Alright, wild, or feral. Great. So words were useless.

         “Dahlia, try to avoid getting hit!” Nicholas cried, feeling how stupid the advice was. “I know, obvious, but…”

         Dahlia rolled away from the next swipe and sprayed a barrage of seeds at the Snorlax. “I got it, Master.” She slowly backed up as the Snorlax continued to advance. “But I want to try something.”

         Nicholas gasped when Dahlia attacked again, her vines sailing wide, and the Snorlax lowered her head and charged.

         Dahlia felt the impact crack a few ribs but she doggedly held on and the Snorlax made a confused noise when the Ivysaur jerked off sideways instead of flying backwards as she had expected.

         Dahlia crashed into the bushes, extricating herself and pulling her vines back from where she had wrapped them around a tree. Her maneuver had earned her some time, but it didn’t look like it was going to be enough as the Snorlax got her bearings and began bearing down on her again.

         “Master, she’s slow, but she hits hard.” Dahlia called as she dodged away from another Headbutt. “What do you think about her?”

         “What are you…” Nicholas trailed off. “Are you seriously asking me about whether or not I should capture her, in the middle of you getting crushed?”

         Dahlia grinned. “I am. My plants are draining her over time, so I can focus on dodging.”

         “Dahlia, you are a crazy woman.” Nicholas called. “Um, she’s kind of large, but she’s human enough.”

         “Oh, so the massive tits aren’t enough for you?” Dahlia teased before screaming when the Snorlax connected. She struggled back to her feet and panted as she stared at the watching pokegirl. “She’s slowing down a bit.”

         “Everything about her is massive.” Nicholas replied as he readied a pokeball. “Her breasts, her height, her strength. She’s like an overcharged bodybuilder.”

         “And?”

         Nicholas chucked the first pokeball when the Snorlax began to approach. “And I agree that having that kind of power on our side might be useful.”

         Dahlia yelped when the ball didn’t even make it to the ground before bursting open and the materializing Snorlax took a swing.

         Nicholas winced when she slammed headfirst into a pole and was reaching for her pokeball when Dahlia pulled herself back upright. “No.” She gasped. “I got this.”

         “You’re one hit from serious injury!”

         “She’s going down.” Dahlia gasped. “Look.”

         True to her word, the Snorlax was wobbling. Nicholas watched as the girl keeled over, the entire pier bouncing when she slammed into the wood and lay there, snoring.

         “Damn it, she’s just recovering her strength.” Nicholas griped.

         “No, Master. That’s because of me.” Dahlia winced as she got back to her feet. “I hit her with Sleep Powder.”

         “Oh, good job!” Nicholas grabbed a second pokeball. “Maybe this time it’ll work.”

         Dahlia held her breath as the pokeball bounced. One shake. Two. If the Snorlax broke out again, she probably wouldn’t see the end of this battle.

         Shards of the broken pokeball whistled past her ear and she resigned herself to another hit.

         Except it didn’t come. Dahlia blinked at the still slumbering pokegirl. When she had been asleep before she had been able to attack, so why not…?

         “Alright. This time!” Nicholas pulled out a different pokeball. “This should work. It was a gift from Erika.”

         Dahlia turned to see the blue pokeball in Nicholas’ hand. “What is it?”

         “She called it a Great Ball.” Nicholas replied, taking careful aim. “Said it was more powerful than a regular pokeball.” He paused. “I knew more powerful versions existed, but…”

         “Less talk, more throw!” Dahlia screamed.

         Nicholas laughed and lobbed the ball.

         Dahlia watched with bated breath as the ball bounced off the Snorlax’s head and activated. It slowly rolled to a stop in a groove between two planks of wood and began shaking.

         Dahlia didn’t dare to breathe when the capture tone sounded. “Master?”

         Nicholas gestured nervously. “It worked.”

         Neither moved.

         Finally, after a few minutes of staring at the ball, Dahlia gingerly reached out with her vines and picked it up. When the Snorlax didn’t suddenly burst out she sighed and brought it back to her hands. “Here, Master.”

         Nicholas took the ball from her and clipped it into his belt. Only once it was secured did he let out a sigh of relief. “Nicely done, Dahlia.” He was about to keep talking when the Ivysaur’s eyes rolled back and she fainted.

         “DAHLIA!”

         Dahlia slowly opened her eyes to see Nicholas hovering over her. “M-Master?”

         “Oh you’re finally awake.” Nicholas breathed in relief. “I thought the medicine hadn’t worked.”

         Dahlia gingerly sat up, feeling the bruises from her recent battle. “What happened?”

         “You collapsed.” Nicholas replied. “We were too far from a pokecenter, so I had to use potions and a special powder to treat your wounds.”

         Dahlia smacked her lips a bit and made a face. “Did you feed me something?”

         “Sorry, they said it would be a little bitter.” Nicholas apologized. “At least it’s not the natural stuff. That apparently makes you want to puke.”

         “Urgh.” Dahlia leaned back with a sigh. “At least I won.”

         Nicholas chuckled. “You did indeed.”

         Dahlia stared at the roof of their tent for a bit. “Have you tamed her yet, Master?”

         “I’m not going to mess with a feral in a tent.” Nicholas replied. “I’ve been looking after you. I don’t intend on bringing her into the harem properly until we get to Fuchsia at the very least.”

         Dahlia nodded to herself. “Smart.” Her eyes slowly began to close and she yawned. “Smart...”

         Nicholas watched her doze off. He waited a few minutes before getting up, shuffling to the tent door and gazing out at the night sky.

         The Snorlax was a rare find indeed, according to his pokedex. Very rare. And powerful. She would make a good addition to the harem.

         A vision of Galina popped into his mind and he sighed. Galina was also very powerful. Was he trying to fill the void her absence was causing? Was that why he had captured the Snorlax?

         He didn’t regret it. And he intended on making her part of the harem. Except... Maybe Galina needed a friend. Or two. To keep her company and talk about her Master with.

         Nicholas dejectedly gazed at the sky as his mood fell. How was the Marowak doing? He’d only been gone two days, but it already felt like weeks. Was she still happy at Oak’s Lab? Should he go back and visit her, or...

         A flash of red caught his attention and his jaw dropped when he saw Cassidy daintily crawling towards him.

         The Kadabra gave him a small smile as she settled in beside him. “Good evening, Master.”

         “Cassidy? I didn’t know you could release yourself like that.” Nicholas stammered.

         “I can do a lot more than that, Master.” Cassidy replied. “I can hear thoughts around me as well.” She smiled slightly when Nicholas winced. “You needed someone to sit with you tonight.”

         “Maybe I did.” Nicholas muttered as he turned his attention back to the sky. “Was leaving her behind the right choice?”

         “It was the only choice, Master.” Cassidy replied. “Galina was - is - broken and hurting. But she loves you terribly. It would have broken her more to know that you gave up your challenge to help her, just as it would have broken her to continue with us.”

         Nicholas nodded slightly. “You could see that in her mind.”

         “I didn’t need to read her mind to know that.” Cassidy said gently. “I could see it in the way she talked to all of us, how she agonized over every step of her decision. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how torn she was.” Cassidy’s lips twitched into a teasing smile. “Even though I am one.”

         “A genius therapist, apparently.” Nicholas replied.

         “The mind reading helps.” Cassidy admitted.

         “Thanks, Cassidy.” Nicholas sighed. “I should get some sleep so that we can make some good progress tomorrow.” He paused mid turn. “Dahlia should be asleep until morning with how much medicine I put in her...”

         Cassidy responded by pulling her shirt off. “Maybe there was another reason I slipped out of my pokeball.” She giggled.

         Nicholas laughed along as he began to tease her. “The Alpha is supposed to say who tames when.”

         “And she’s unconscious.” Cassidy moaned. “Oh, yes...”

         Dahlia continued to slumber peacefully until the morning sun played across her face. Eventually she snorted, twitching a bit before she reached up to rub the sleep from her eyes.

         “Hey, you’re awake!” Nicholas called. “Morning, Dahlia.”

         Dahlia groaned. “Mornin Mastr.”

         Nicholas ducked back inside the tent to roll her out of her blankets. “Come on, wakey wakey!”

         He laughed when her vines shot out to pin his arms to his sides and hoist him a few inches into the air. Slowly Dahlia finished waking up, cracking an eye open to glare at the grinning man. “Can’t you let me wake up in peace?”

         “Nope. We’ve got places to be.” Nicholas laughed. “Please put me down.”

         Dahlia slowly returned him to the floor but didn’t release him just yet. “I had the strangest dream.”

         Nicholas gave her an innocent smile. “Oh?”

         “There was a lot of moaning.”

         “Wet dreams. Hope it was about me.” Nicholas breezed.

         “I wasn’t the one making the noises.”

         Nicholas gave up when he felt her vines pulling him closer to her. “I thought you were asleep.”

         “I was.” Dahlia gave him a lecherous grin. “Now I’m not.”

         Well, at least she’s feeling better. Nicholas laughed to himself when the Ivysaur dragged him under the covers.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
         Dahlia waited for Nicholas to sling his backpack on, a satisfied expression across her face. “Ready to move yet?”
         Nicholas rolled his eyes. “Yes, Alpha.”
         Dahlia giggled and butted her head against his arm. “Oh, you loved it. Don’t act all hissy now.”
         “I wanted to get moving before noon.” Nicholas replied drily.
         “You’re a pokegirl tamer.” Dahlia replied smugly. “You should know better.”
         “I should, but I’m an optimist.” Nicholas replied. “Ready?”
         “Ready.”
         Nicholas took care to watch her as they continued to walk south. “Hey Dahlia, you think you’ll evolve soon?”
         Dahlia glanced back at him before turning back to the path. “I do, Master. That fight with the Snorlax... she was an incredible opponent. I can feel every part of me begging to become stronger.”
         Nicholas came to a halt next to a familiar stand of trees. “Then let’s get it done.”
         Dahlia glanced over in surprise. “Aren’t those the...”
         “Yup.”
         Dahlia’s vines slashed out. “Think we’ll find some wild pokegirls back here, Master?”
         “Hopefully.” Nicholas replied as he stepped past the felled trees.
         Sure enough not a minute later Dahlia was facing off against a haughty looking grass-type.
         “Weepinbell. The flycatcher pokegirl.” Nicholas’ pokedex reported.
         “Shouldn’t be too hard.” Nicholas called. “Let’s see what you can do!”
         “I can win.” Dahlia replied confidently. Her vines flicked back and forth in midair before she charged the wild pokegirl with a shout.
         As she got closer the Weepinbell abruptly threw her chest forwards, popping her breasts out of the plant material composing her dress. Dahlia slowed for a moment in confusion at the display before continuing her attack.
         Right before she impacted the Weepinbell suddenly seemed to grow in size. Dahlia squawked, missing her original target and instead smacking into the wild pokegirl’s stomach. She started to step back when the Weepinbell’s vines shot out, successfully restraining her just in front of the now towering grass-type.
         “Dahlia, it’s just a trick!” Nicholas yelled. “She’s posturing!”
         “She sure seems big!” Dahlia cried.
         “She was hiding in her plant... thing.” Nicholas called. “That’s all. She’s not bigger than before.”
         Dahlia blinked when she remembered Jessebelle and what the Victreebel had done with her own ‘dress’. “Right. Got...”
         She trailed off with a whimper when the Weepinbell in front of her bent over to reveal the newly emptied space against her body. Dahlia could see a thick mucus clinging between the girl’s skin and the inside of what she now realized was a bulb.
         “You’re not putting me in there.” She snarled when she felt the Weepinbell begin pulling her forwards. “I know a poison when I see one.”
         “Try putting her to sleep!”
         Dahlia dug in to resist the Weepinbell. “That’s alright, Master. I think she’s trying to get me horny so that I don’t resist her attacks.” Dahlia sneezed when the smell of the mucus hit her nose. “Yup. Numbing agent, on top of the powder you’re blowing at me...” she shivered when she realized the trap. “So that’s your plan.”
         Nicholas watched in confusion. “Dahlia, is something wrong? Why aren’t you fighting back?”
         “I was just confused with what she was doing.” Dahlia replied. “I hadn’t trained with many grass-types before now, so I was curious.” Her eyes hardened and her own vines reached out to grapple the Weepinbell. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have held back with a wild pokegirl.”
         Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief when Dahlia slammed her vines into the Weepinbell’s head and the wild pokegirl collapsed, dropping Dahlia as she did. “Please don’t scare me like that again.”
         Dahlia stared at the unconscious pokegirl. “I won’t.”
         Nicholas grinned when he saw her flower tremble, the remnants of the green leaves curling back to allow more beautiful pink petals to sprout from her back. As it began to grow Dahlia sighed, her eyes sliding shut along with the start of the evolutionary glow.
         He moved closer to her as her body grew. He’d seen the difference between Professor Oak’s Venusaur, Tiana, and Dahlia back at the laboratory, so he thought he knew how Dahlia would change.
         He was wrong. The flower, the wide, muscular back, those were the only things that looked the same. Tiana had stood above even him by a few inches, but Dahlia was much closer to his own height by the time the glow faded. She had still gotten bigger, that was obvious, but instead of the hulking Venusaur Tiana had been Dahlia was much more lithe.
         Dahlia opened her eyes and smiled when she saw Nicholas watching her. “How do I look, Master?”
         “You look young.” Nicholas chuckled. “I had this thought that maybe you’d become like Tiana, Oak’s girl? But you still have room to grow.”
         Dahlia ran her hands down her body to feel her new curves. “I see.”
         “You look more powerful, that’s not a question.” Nicholas explained. “But you don’t have the years of training that she does.”
         Dahlia smiled and moved towards him. “But, Master?”
         Nicholas caught her and marveled at the new weight behind her movements. “But I think you might still be able to chuck me over a dog house.”
         Dahlia laughed and pressed her forehead to his. “Only something that small?” She teased. “If comparing me to Tiana doesn’t work, why not to Elizabeth?”
         “Elizabeth.” Nicholas mused. “Yea, I’d say that’s a good one. I bet you’d give each other a good arm wrestling match.”
         “Hmm.” Dahlia thought. “Maybe.”
         “Let’s get out of here.” Nicholas said, turning back towards the path. “Give you some practice in your new form.”
         “I’d rather give Ashley the time she needs.” Dahlia countered. “I can get used to this when we make camp tonight.”
         Nicholas frowned. “I agree that Ashley needs time... but, no. You should get used to this now.” He chuckled. “How about this. Ashley will take the lead, but her Alpha will be there to cheer her on.”
         Dahlia looked wistful. “Just like how we started.”
         “That’s right.”
         Dahlia nodded and turned to him with a happy smile. “I love it, Master.”
         Nicholas triggered Ashley’s pokeball. “Ashley! Guess what.”
         The Pidgeotto had materialized looking away from the Venusaur but she still got it right. “Dahlia evolved and it’s my turn.”
         Nicholas stamped his foot while Dahlia just laughed. “You’re no fun.”
         Ashley turned and grinned at what she saw. “Niiice, Dahlia. You’ve got that look, like...” She gestured in the air in front of her own breasts. “Boom.”
         Dahlia snorted and reached out to playfully shove Ashley. “Boom yourself, bird brain.”
         “Owch. You wound me.” Ashley snickered before turning back to Nicholas. “So it is my turn, right Master?”
         “Sure is.” Nicholas found himself smiling happily from watching the two interact. “Damnit, Ashley, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you so relaxed.”
         “Yea, well, I’ve already talked to you about what happened.” Ashley replied. “I’ve got all this spunk begging to be let out.” She immediately rounded on Dahlia again. “Don’t you say it.”
         Dahlia laughed and shook her head. “I’m not going to joke about that, even if it was a poor choice of words. I’m just happy to have my sister back again.”
         Ashley gave her a warm smile. “Feels good to be back.”
         “Alright, now we’re laying it on a bit thick.” Nicholas teased. “Ashley! We’ve got a lot more road ahead, which means a lot more battles. I think I already know the answer to this one, but are you ready?”
         Ashley let out her breath, turning to him with a glint in her eye. “With you commanding me, Master,” she said, parroting her words from the Rocket Hideout, “I’m ready for any battle.”
         “I know you are.” Nicholas gleefully replied. “Alright, girls! Let’s go!”
         “And then I dove, zipping through her legs before she could even react...” Ashley was excitedly telling a laughing Elizabeth.
         Nicholas slowly ran his hand down Victoria’s back, weaving his fingers around her tail for the umpteenth time that night. “It’s been a while since we’ve cuddled like this.”
         Victoria had her eyes closed, enjoying the feeling of his hands with her head in his lap. “Things... were tense.”
         Nicholas nodded, gazing into their campfire. “It’s horrible that it took Dahlia getting kidnapped for us to take a step back and reevaluate our grievances.”
         “But I’m happy it did.” Victoria murmured. “Does that make me a bad pokegirl? I’m happy my Alpha was kidnapped?”
         “No, because we know what you mean.” Dahlia plopped down and patted Victoria’s arm. “Hey Master, you should find a way to include Cassidy tonight. The rest of us, we’re making merry and all, but it’s leaving her alone.”
         Nicholas looked over at the smiling Kadabra. “Yea, I can see it. She’s with Liz and Ashley, but she’s not exactly interacting with them.”
         “That was her fear, that she was the new girl.” Dahlia replied. “Can you handle that?”
         “Why doesn’t my Alpha?”
         Dahlia sighed. “If I single her out, I’m her Alpha feeling pity for her. If you do it, you’re her Master giving her attention.”
         “I think Cassidy is smarter than that.” Nicholas replied. “Go be honest with her, tell her that you want to talk with her. Sure, she doesn’t have the stories and experiences the rest of you share, but she’s still a member of your harem.”
         Dahlia grimaced. “When you put it like that... damn, alright. Victoria, can you come over at some point?”
         The Gyarados grumbled. “But...”
         “I know, I know, cuddles with Master Nicholas.” Dahlia said. “Please?”
         Victoria grumbled a bit more before nodding.
         “Thanks.”
         Nicholas watched her approach Cassidy and the two begin talking. After a few moments Cassidy shifted slightly to give Dahlia room to sit with her.
         “It feels... quiet without Galina.” Nicholas murmured. “Empty.”
         Victoria hummed. “I’d only just started to get to know her, Master, but I agree. She’s a part of the harem, it feels wrong for her not to be with us.”
         “It’s what she needed.” Nicholas whispered.
         “I know.” Victoria let him stroke her a few more times before she pushed away. “I’ll go join Dahlia.” She gazed at the scene for a bit and sighed. “One day, I want to share this with her. Without the threat over our heads. Without worrying about travel or training - at least, not in the moment. I want to show her this.” She watched the other pokegirls laughing together. “I want her to know she can be happy.”
         Nicholas looked out without responding. Finally when the Gyarados started to walk away he spoke. “One day, Victoria. And one day, I hope to see you joyously living as you did when you first evolved.”
         Victoria sniffed slightly before hurrying away.
         “We need a vacation.” Nicholas muttered to himself. “A real one. This trip, this is a start. But it’s not enough. We need somewhere to relax, to be ourselves. Maybe even before we ever return to the gym challenges.” He watched Victoria join the others, the whole group coming more alive when she abandoned the facade she usually portrayed as a Gyarados.
         A while later he heard someone call for him. “Master.”
         Nicholas glanced over to see Ashley walk out of the darkness. “Oh, hey Ashley. What’s up, done talking with Elizabeth?”
         Ashley sat down next to him and looked away. “Yea.”
         “Everything alright?”
         Ashley squirmed a bit closer so that his arm was over her head. “Yea.”
         Nicholas waited for her to elaborate and shrugged when she didn’t. “Okay.”
         He idly began running his fingers down her wings and slowed when he felt her bare chest. “Where’d your wrap go?” He smiled slightly. “Or did it get ‘lost’ on your way over here.”
         “Yea.”
         Nicholas’ playful smile faded when alarm bells began to sound in his mind. “Why aren’t you saying anything else?” He glanced around but the others were all talking amongst themselves. “Ashley?”
         When she didn’t reply he swallowed. Something wasn’t right.
         “ALRIIIGHT, let’s get back to the fun!”
         Nicholas slowly turned his head to see Ashley walk into the campsite and high-five Elizabeth. The Pidgeotto was happily chattering away as he returned to staring straight ahead.
         If that was Ashley, who - or what - was next to him?
         Please, someone look over here. He thought desperately. But it was no use. The pokegirls were engrossed in their own conversations.
         He felt the girl under his arm shift and he quickly stroked her again until the movement stopped. Cassidy! Please, please be listening. He looked over at the Kadabra and focused as hard as he could. CASSIDY!
         Cassidy jerked and grabbed her head. “Ow!”
         Dahlia looked at her in surprise. “You alright?”
         “Which one of you just screamed in your head?” Cassidy grumbled. “I can hear you.”
         Dahlia and Victoria shared a confused look before all three looked at Elizabeth and Ashley. “I don’t think anyone screamed.” Dahlia replied.
         “Oh, great. One of you thinks it’s so-o-o funny to scare the psychic...” Cassidy trailed off.
         Dahlia looked at her and raised her hands helplessly. “I don’t think anyone would do that-“
         “You didn’t.” Cassidy replied calmly. “Dahlia, keep talking with me. Whatever you do, don’t get up. Victoria, you too.”
         Dahlia resisted the urge to move. She could hear the desperation behind Cassidy’s calm tone. “What’s happened.”
         “Master Nicholas is in trouble. If we make any sudden moves he might get hurt.”
         Dahlia started to turn her head before forcing herself to sit still. “What’s happened?” She repeated.
         “A pokegirl that looks like Ashley is holding him, but it isn’t Ashley. Ashley is with Elizabeth. The one with Master has a hazy mind. She’s a feral.”
         Dahlia exhaled, using the motion to disguise her vines creeping down her body. “An impostor?”
         “A feral.” Cassidy hissed. “Who is currently touching him. If she gets scared she might attack!”
         Dahlia stopped worming her vines through the grass. “What can we do?”
         “I don’t know.” Cassidy whispered. “I’m thinking.”
         Dahlia’s fists were clenched so tightly that she could feel blood starting to well from where her nails had broken her skin. There had to be a way. Some way, to distract the feral, to do something...
         Could she put everyone to sleep? No, there was no guarantee it would work, and then it would just be her and the feral. The harem had the advantage of numbers. She shouldn’t ruin that.
         Dahlia suddenly looked up. “Cassidy. What is the feral doing to him?”
         “Um, she’s just... I think she’s just pretending to be Ashley. Nicholas strokes her wing every once in a while.”
         “And she’s not doing anything else?”
         Cassidy shook her head. “No.”
         “She’s feral.” Dahlia explained. “She hasn’t attacked Master Nicholas, so she probably wants a taming. That’s why she made herself look like one of us. That’s why she’s focusing only on him.”
         Cassidy slowly nodded. “Okay. How does that help us?”
         Dahlia took a deep breath. “I can make sure that the only thing she’s thinking about is sex. That should ensure she doesn’t attack him while I take control.”
         Cassidy blinked in surprise. “Really? How? And that sounds perfect, do it!”
         “It’s one of my powders.” Dahlia replied quietly. “I start spreading it? All of you will be affected.”
         Cassidy and Victoria glanced at each other. “Oh.” Victoria replied.
         “Yea. I don’t know if I’m comfortable doing that to you.” Dahlia murmured.
         “What exactly would happen? Just, we’d get horny, or...” Victoria trailed off.
         “I think so. I haven’t used it on anybody for real before.” Dahlia blushed. “I shake a little out when Master and I tame, to, um... keep us going.”
         “We can handle it.” Cassidy replied confidently. “Right, Victoria?”
         “...yea.”
         “Even if you can, it’ll get to Elizabeth and Ashley as well.” Dahlia continued, well aware how long her explanation was dragging on. But it seemed to be the only idea they had to save Nicholas from the feral still cuddled under his arm. “Without warning. They won’t have time to consent.”
         “This is an emergency.”
         “That doesn’t make it right.”
         Cassidy nodded. “I understand. Let me try something.”
         Dahlia watched her turn to the other two girls. After a few seconds Elizabeth jumped, glancing over before turning and saying something to Ashley.
         “Let’s see if Ashley...” Cassidy nodded when the Pidgeotto ducked her head in embarrassment. “Okay.”
         Dahlia watched Elizabeth’s spikes rise. “Did you use telepathy?”
         “Elizabeth is signaling that they’ll be okay.” Cassidy turned back to Dahlia. “Do it, Alpha.”
         Nicholas could see the conversation going on as he continued placating the fake Ashley. Finally after what seemed like ages it stopped.
         They have a plan. Nicholas thought in relief.
         Except nothing seemed to happen. The harem just continued sitting together with little conversation. Nicholas was forced to stare and wonder why there wasn’t anything happening.
         A minute passed before Cassidy abruptly sneezed. Almost at the same time Victoria growled, bending over and opening her mouth.
         Nicholas watched in confusion when Victoria began panting heavily. What was going on?
         Dahlia did her best to ignore the two next to her, focusing on spreading the fine cloud of powder that was drifting from her flower. Once she saw Elizabeth or Ashley reacting, she’d know that the cloud had reached the feral as well.
         Victoria clenched her fists as she felt the burning sensation spreading from her groin. She hadn’t expected it to feel like this. She could resist the urge, barely, but with every passing second the feeling grew.
         She jerked up when Cassidy cried out. The Kadabra was trembling, one hand fluttering across her bare, sweaty golden skin, while the other... Victoria forced herself to look away. She had to resist the feeling. She had to...
         Dahlia whirled when she saw Elizabeth’s spikes waver and the Nidoqueen’s posture changed. The cloud must have reached far enough by now!
         Nicholas stared when Victoria jerked forwards towards Cassidy. The Kadabra was furiously masturbating and when Victoria toppled into her the two let out a near simultaneous cry. What the hell was going on? A noise caught his attention and he turned in time to watch Elizabeth crush her mouth to Ashley’s, the two beginning to fondle each other. He was sitting next to an unknown pokegirl and his harem was having an orgy?!
         Another noise next to him made him freeze and he slowly turned to see the fake Ashley staring up at him with pure black eyes. “Um-“
         She made another noise, stretching towards his face. Nicholas finally noticed her desperate gaze and realization settled in when he saw her fingers searching for her own pussy.
         He didn’t know how it had happened, but every pokegirl in the campsite had been taken over by lust. This must have been the plan, to keep him safe by making the pokegirl unlikely to attack him. But that created a different issue.
         Nicholas fell back when the girl crawled onto his stomach. It was incredibly unnerving to see Ashley staring back at him as clumsy fingers fumbled with his pants.
         Suddenly the girl was flying away from him and Dahlia slid into view. “Master! Are you alright?”
         “I’m fine.” Nicholas quickly got back up and stared at the squirming girl in Dahlia’s vines. “What took you so long?”
         “I couldn’t risk her attacking you, Master.” Dahlia hissed when the girl she was holding began to deform. “What the...”
         The fake Ashley’s body slipped through Dahlia’s vines, flowing almost like a liquid until she reformed on the ground. Dahlia stepped squarely in front of Nicholas when the girl turned towards him.
         Nicholas peeked past Dahlia at the unsteady pokegirl. She still had some of Ashley’s features, with sporadic feathers covering her arms, but she’d mostly become something new. Her skin was a light purple and her limbs were no longer well defined, carrying some of the liquid properties she’d demonstrated. A slime girl, he realized. A shape-shifting slime.
         Dahlia was getting ready for battle when Nicholas tapped her on the shoulder. “Dahlia?”
         The Venusaur turned. “Master?”
         “What happened?” He gestured at where the other girls were happily pleasuring each other. “Why is there an orgy?”
         “I, released a Lust Dust.” Dahlia explained with embarrassment. “It was the only way to fight this girl without attacking.” She turned back to the feral. “I couldn’t risk you getting hurt, Master.”
         “So she’s feeling the same things as the others?”
         Dahlia frowned and took a closer look at the panting feral. “She should be.”
         “I don’t think she means any harm.” Nicholas said softly. “Definitely not anymore. Let her through.”
         Dahlia slowly stepped aside and watched the feral tentatively step towards Nicholas. “Are you sure about this, Master?”
         “She made herself look like Ashley so she could be close to me.” Nicholas replied. “I don’t think she hurt Ashley to do it. I’d like to trust her.”
         “Without any sort of taming cycle or pokedex scan?” Dahlia whimpered. “Master...”
         “I have you here now to protect me.” Nicholas replied gently. “I trust you.” He chuckled as he looked around. “Well, you’re also the only one not with her face in someone else’s crotch, but I trust you.”
         Dahlia felt her face burning from Nicholas’ flippant conversation. “Master!”
“Shh.” Nicholas reached out when the feral got close enough. “You’re looking for a tamer, aren’t you?”
         The girl stared at him and slowly reached her own hand out to take his.
         “I understand that you’re scared.” Nicholas continued gently. “And feeling things you can’t control. I’m here. And I want you.”
         Dahlia kept a close eye when the girl shuffled forwards, draping herself over Nicholas as the two began to tame. She needed to be vigilant. This was still a feral pokegirl.
         Dahlia swallowed hard in order to keep her mind from wandering. Feral. On top of her Master. She needed to keep watch. But with how much dust she’d released it had been inevitable that she would inhale some herself. She resisted the aching feeling for as long as she could but eventually she gave in, joining the two on the ground.
         Over time the groups drifted together, each new movement kicking up a new cloud of dust to continue the fun. Even as the sun began to peek through the trees the campsite echoed with their cries, only fading when a gentle morning breeze began to clear the air.
         Nicholas opened his eyes to the morning sun. What happened? Why was he in the dirt?
         Slowly the night’s events came back to him and he sat up to look around. His harem was passed out around him, each and every one completely nude.
         Including, he saw, the feral. The girl was twisted into what would have been a horribly uncomfortable position for most pokegirls, but the slime girl probably didn’t even notice. It looked like any fake features she had taken were gone now, revealing her true body to be a light purple color. This default body wasn’t blank but rather sported a decent pair of breasts as well as short, probably shoulder-length slime mimicking hair on her head.
         Nicholas reached over and began lightly shaking the girls around him until he got a response.
“What?” Victoria mumbled, pushing herself up and breaking into a massive yawn. “Mmmaaster?”
         “Good morning, Victoria.” Nicholas called. “How are you feeling?”
         The Gyarados was rubbing sleep from her eyes until she abruptly bolted upright. “Master! The girl, you-“ she let out her breath when she saw him smiling back at her. “You’re alright.”
         “I’m fine.” Nicholas replied, watching a few other bodies begin to stir. “Can you start cleaning up a bit?”
         Victoria slowly looked around at their scattered gear. “Um. Sure, Master.” She hesitated before getting up. “The feral, where is she?”
         Nicholas pointed at the sleeping girl. “Right there. And she shouldn’t be feral anymore.”
         Victoria visibly relaxed. “Thank goodness, Master. I’ll clean up.”
         Nicholas nodded, repeating the conversation as Elizabeth and Ashley began to wake. Soon enough the only ones still asleep were the slime girl and Cassidy.
         Dahlia yawned. “Sorry, Master.” She blearily gazed at the slumbering girls. “All I cared about was, um... keeping you safe, so I didn’t try to catch her, or anything...”
         Nicholas chuckled. “I know what happened, and that’s fine, Dahlia. Can you get Cassidy moving?”
         Dahlia nodded and grabbed the Kadabra in her vines before dumping her a few feet away.
         Cassidy jolted awake and began shouting indignantly when she saw Nicholas and Dahlia laughing at her nearby. Eventually she calmed down and started searching for a new shirt.
         “Just her now, Master.” Dahlia noted. “What even is she?”
         “I think I saw a slime girl in the Rocket Hideout, but she wasn’t this color.” Nicholas searched around the camp until he found his discarded pokedex and pointed it at the sleeping girl. “Let’s see.”
         “Ditto. The transformation pokegirl.” His pokedex reported.
         “Well we already knew that.” Nicholas laughed. “Okay... oh, it says Ditto are social pokegirls. They get along well with just about anyone.”
         “Ohhh, she just wanted to get along!” Dahlia cried. “Oh you poor girl, you were probably so scared as a feral...”
         Nicholas laughed and closed the dex. “I told you she wasn’t trying to hurt me.”
         “Maybe not, but she was still a feral.” Dahlia retorted. “I will treat every one like they’re trying to kill you.” She jerked her head back up the path they had been traveling. “Remember that Weepinbell I fought? She sure didn’t seem like she was trying to hurt me with her Lust Dust and sexy posturing, but she was going to stick me down her dress-bulb-thing until I passed out!”
         “Alright, I get it.” Nicholas sighed. “Sorry for worrying you.”
         “You did everything you could to be safe.” Dahlia replied, her voice returning to a gentle level. “Thank you, Master. I’m just glad this turned out alright.”
         “Me too.”
         “Let’s make it official.” Dahlia said, scooping an empty pokeball off the ground and bouncing it off of the Ditto’s body. Or at least trying to. Instead the ball hit and stuck there for a moment before activating to draw the slime girl inside.
         Nicholas couldn’t help but snicker from the absurdity of it. “Splat.”
         “I think we have a problem, Master.” Dahlia chuckled and pointed at a flashing message on his pokedex. “Look.”
         “‘Warning. Over harem limit.’ Well shit.” Nicholas read. “‘Store or relinquish pokegirls immediately to return under the six pokegirl maximum’.”
         “What do we do?”
         Nicholas checked the map. “We’re a day or so from Fuchsia City. I really doubt that I’ll get in trouble for having seven pokegirls if we’re actively trying to make it to a town and store one.”
         Dahlia nodded. “Smart, Master.”
         “Of course I’m not putting any of you in storage.” Nicholas chuckled. “We’ll make it to Fuchsia so that Cassidy or Ashley can bring me back, then head to Professor Oak’s lab. I was thinking last night, and I want to spend some real time off. Maybe not a long time, but some more days to relax. No battles. No gym challenges.” He gave her an embarrassed shrug. “And, uh, I miss Galina.”
         “We’ll need to put someone in storage, Master, or we’ll be over the limit.” Dahlia replied in confusion. “You’re going to break the law?”
         “No, no, I’m just saying we won’t do that in Fuchsia. I’ll leave one of these new girls with Oak, if he’s alright with that.”
         Dahlia thought for a few moments before smiling. “And Galina will have someone to be with.”
         “Someone who has the same Master.” Nicholas replied with a smile. “That’s right.”
         “Good thinking.”
         “I do that occasionally.” Nicholas laughed. “Alright. What do you think, should we meet this Ditto, or get moving?”
         Dahlia replied by straightening and looking around at the milling harem. “GIRLS! We are LEAVING! Ashley, you will be taking the lead and the rest of you, start packing up!”
         Nicholas found himself swept along with the sudden activity and in no time at all he was back on the road with Ashley slowly flying overhead.
         “ASHLEY!”
         The Pidgeotto swooped down. “Master?”
         “What are we going to do today?”
         Ashley looked confused for a moment before she brightened. “I’m going to evolve, Master! And then...” She gave him a nervous smile. “If I finally am able to carry you, maybe...”
         “We’ll see.” Nicholas replied. “You know, that Ditto couldn’t have chosen a better pokegirl to get close to me.”
         Ashley understood the hint and she cleared her throat to stop from blushing. “I’m sure she had other, equally good options. She just must have seen me when I went to pee.”
         “Wow, I tell you you’re my favorite and you use the opportunity to say that your sisters are just as good? You really have changed.”
         “I told you, didn’t I Master?” Ashley replied shyly. “That was the old Ashley. I know better now.”
         Nicholas kissed her nose and Ashley yelped when he slapped her butt. “Attagirl!”
         Ashley let out a frustrated noise before taking back to the sky with a laugh. “Master!”
         Nicholas chuckled to himself while he watched her zip through the air above him. He had never claimed not to have favorites, but Ashley was right. He liked all of them, even the two newly caught wild pokegirls. After all, he wouldn’t try to catch them if they didn’t strike his fancy.
         One day he’d make a mistake and catch or accept a pokegirl he didn’t like. But that day definitely hadn’t come yet.
         His thoughts continued wandering as Ashley fought a few battles, the Pidgeotto skillfully defeating each pokegirl she fought. One day, he mused. One day. How long did he expect to be doing this? Misty had claimed he’d be challenging the Elite Four within four or five months. If that turned out to be true, ‘one day’ would have to come rather quickly for it to matter.
         Was he considering continuing on even after that?
         He was shaken out of his thoughts by a shout and turned to see a tamer gesturing at him. Another battle. As he called for Ashley and began evaluating the pokegirl that materialized across from them, the doubts began to fade. He was having fun. A lot of fun. He could still be a researcher and a tamer, couldn’t he? It was just hands-on experience. He laughed and began giving orders when the two pokegirls leapt into battle. Yea. He’d go with that.
         Ashley felt a thrill run through her when Nicholas called out again. His tone had changed. Her Master was happy, truly happy. And she was the reason. Her own feelings of joy overflowed as she twisted past her opponent, another Pidgeotto, and she couldn’t help but laugh from the combined feelings and thrill of battle.
         She could soar! So high, as he pushed her further, and further, further into the sky! “Watch me, Master!” She screamed, her voice cracking from the pulsing excitement she felt. “WATCH ME FLY!”
         Nicholas gasped when Ashley inverted, flipping behind her surprised opponent and striking faster than ever before. The enemy Pidgeotto squawked, one wing fluttering in the wind as she pitched over and began to fall.
         Ashley dove, tucking her wings against her body to pick up speed. Her bright eyes zeroed in on her floundering opponent and right before she impacted her wings snapped open, bringing her feet around at devastating speed.
         The tumbling Pidgeotto spun away without a sound and her Master picked her out of the sky with the recall beam. Ashley tipped back into her dive, racing towards the ground with euphoric laughter flowing over her lips.
         Nicholas felt his breath burst out of his lungs when she crashed into him and the two tumbled across the ground with him wrapped in her wings. When they finally came to a stop Nicholas extricated an arm to begin checking her for injury. “Ashley, are you okay?”
         Ashley had ended up above him on the ground and he suddenly found her mouth pressed against his when she hungrily began to kiss him. With each one her body rubbed against his and Nicholas felt himself beginning to respond.
         “Hey, that other tamer is still here.” Nicholas blustered. “Ashley, cut it out!”
         “I don’t care.” Ashley replied huskily. “He is not my master. You are my Master, and I am yours. Forever, Master, to whatever heights I may go...”
         Ashley let out a noise somewhere between a gasp and a moan when her body erupted with light. Nicholas squeezed his eyes shut, waiting for the blinding glare to fade before opening them again.
         He was speechless at what he saw.
         Ashley slowly stood, her new wings flapping to keep her balance while her arms remained wrapped around him. “I am yours, Master.” She whispered again. “Nothing will change that, I swear to you.”
         “I hope to have my girl evolve one day.” The other tamer called wistfully. “Nice match, dude. Take care.”
         Ashley ignored the leaving tamer but did loosen her grip slightly so that Nicholas could lean back. The first thing he had noticed was her face; her hair had grown out ever so slightly, the shock of red that had appeared as a Pidgeotto now spread throughout her blonde. Her eyes pierced straight through him, making it impossible to determine her mood if he hadn’t already known how the intense stare was fueled by lust. But spreading between her shoulders was the greatest change. More than her hair, or eyes, or even the comically squished cleavage that her strained wrap was creating. The massive golden brown wings behind her made it perfectly clear that the pokegirl in front of him was no longer just a Pidgeotto.
         “I want to fly, Master.” Ashley begged. “Please. Can we fly?”
         Nicholas leaned forwards and was surprised when he had to stretch slightly to kiss her. “Fly, my beautiful bird.” He smiled at her when she gasped. “Fly.”
         With a single, powerful pump of her wings the two launched into the air.
