Secret Base of Alphonso Haures, Morning after the mission against Sanctuary.

Arianna got up from the cot she had been given when she heard the locks on the door being undone. After her swift and brutal dispatch of Evan's Nekomata during his poorly executed plan she was rewarded with another beating, then food and something to sleep on. Haures was skeptical why Delilah was taking such actions but in her short time had made more progress than anyone else dealing with the War Hound. Like the last time the food was good despite its small portion.

The door opened and they each filed in one by one. She quickly noticed that most of them looked apprehensive to be there. All except Delilah, Andzral, and Evan. "So the gang's all here. Is it time for my morning beating followed by breakfast? Or is it going to take that many of you to do me in?"

Evan moved to the side and gave Tessa room to drag in a large stone pedestal. "Shut up. Were just here to perform a test. Either way this goes you'll be dealt with soon enough." He snapped, before pushing Tessa out of the way. He reached into a cloth bag and pulled out a large gold and jeweled crown to set on the pedestal. Next he pulled out the pokéball that had been transferred to him the other day.

In a flash of red he released the contained pokégirl to stand before them. There she stood before them, clad in just enough leather to make a decent skirt if it was all stitched together. Her wavy brown hair fell in front of her modest bust and her light brown eyes that appeared to twinkle in the light. Instantly Haures, Tessa, Evelyn, and Jaleen went down to a knee and began to bow before her. Much to the unknown girls delight. Arianna just looked at the girl, not feeling the need to bow before her. Delilah on the other hand knew exactly what she was looking at and worse, knew that the War Hound's days were numbered.

Evan was almost ready to give a delighted smile at the results she was already giving. Haures, Evelyn, and Jaleen were pushovers, he already knew that. But Tessa was made of tougher stuff than them. Had the Dark Queen gone down to a knee her would have tamed both girls on the spot. "So what's your name?"

"Pamela, please tell me that one of those groveling fools is the Alpha."

"Of course not, Haures's Alpha is still standing, mine isn't here and Delilah... well don't worry about her."

"Don't tell me you're still upset about that whole plan thing." Delilah scoffed and folded her arms.

Pamela eyed the Dark Queen with envy. Delilah's clothing choice being a knee length back leather skirt with white tights, a white silk shirt, and long black leather coat. "I like her coat, I want it."

Delilah put on her best natured smile and stuck her hands in her pockets. "Mr. Domico appears to be quite taken with you. I'm sure if you perform well he'd consider getting you one."

The girl's eyes pulsed as she gazed at Delilah. "No, I want your coat and you want to give it to me."

The smile left the Dark Queen's face and her eyes hardened. "Stronger, smarter, faster, and more powerful people have tried to take things from me over the years and their graves span the globe. I'm going to take my leave and keep Mr. Domico from having to find a replacement for you." She turned abruptly and started heading for the door. Her eyes pulsed once and those that had been kneeling started to get back up. 'That little test was useful to me as well. Now I'm sure of who I can take control of."

Pamela reached out like she was ready to pursue the Dark Queen but stopped when her eyes fell on the sparkling crown. "I want that instead."

The brief honeymoon period was over and it was time for Evan to show her who was in charge. "That and anything else you want you're going to earn."

"And how am I going to do that... Mr. Domico was it?"

"First of all you are to refer to me as Lord and Master Domico. Secondly you can try and take the crown or you can turn that one over there into my willing whore."

A long leather whip formed in her hand and uncoiled onto the ground. Judging by the look of it she was far from kind. It appeared to sparkle in the light but that was due to the pieces of metal and shards of glass embedded in it. "I'm not going to call you that. But since you gave me the option of beating you and taking it I'll go with that."

Evan smiled internally; he was hoping he would have to break her in. "You should have just done as told. Give me your best shot."

The whip actually appeared to spark when it drug across the ground. It crack with a deafening pop and went towards Evans chest. He quickly sidestepped and caught it then to her surprise jerked her towards him. His first strike to her stomach knocked the wind out of her and sent her down to her knees. He quickly looped it around her neck and started strangling her then pulled what little clothing she had off.

Though he didn't have much of it the first lash of the whip struck against her crotch. "What's my name?!" He brought the whip down again in the same spot but instead of crying out she gave a guttural moan. "Oh? You like that huh!" He struck her several more times then let her go. "You want more?"

She quivered squirming against his legs then started reaching up for him. "Yes... Lord and Master Domico." She moaned out in euphoric ecstasy.

"Then start crawling. Let's go." Evan commanded then started to leave the room before looking back to Arianna like it was an after though. "Oh don't you worry, I'll get to you soon enough."

The War Hound shrugged then laid back on the cot. "Don't hurry on my account, I've got nothing but time." 'I've got to get out of here before that she comes around.'

Avalanche HQ, 1045, two days after returning from the Sanctuary Goth mission.

Marco and Kelly both agreed to hold off on reporting their findings until after they had held the memorial service for Leona. They knew things were going to be rough after the report and needed to make sure all the proper precautions were made. Marco had been neck deep in grief since that day but was coming around slowly. He had watched the recordings from the mission countless times, desperate to see anything he could have done that would have kept her alive.

Out at the training field the harem and Bernadette were taking a break from their training. He still hadn't tamed the Piratit and after she heard what had happened she understood he would need some time. All the while she was also wondering what would happen to her. From what she had gathered she knew that there were two separate parts to Marco’s pokégirls, the unit and the harem. But after finding out that one didn't get tamed she desperately wanted to be in the other.

Henrietta toweled off her head and placed it on the bench next to her bag. "My god, I can still feel the grief coming off him. Was he this bad when I died?"

Chesra was working on the special project Marco had given her and nodded while working with the chain net. "He was even worse." She had broken down the net into its separate links and was reforming them into something new. "Not that he didn't care about Leona, the three maybe four of us can feel that. But you were a lot closer to him than she was and it shows. This time though he doesn't have a focus to occupy his time."

Ashley opened her bottle of water and took a drink. "Focus?"

"Yes, last time he was consumed with trying to find Henrietta's murder. That thought alone gave him enough motivation to keep pushing forward. This time he doesn't have that and must work through it another way."

'What can we do to help?' Signed Carrie.

"All we can do is wait." Henrietta replied. "He'll come around soon but he has more pressing issues at the moment. Bernie, do you know what a Sanctuary Goth is?"

"No, I've heard the name but I don't know what it is... or they are... whichever."

"Then you're in the clear, being a pirate puts you in some danger but you helped us out so Marco will vouch for you."

"You all really care about him don't you?"

Jean nodded. "There are two categories that you can fall into around here. You either know him from the unit and will do anything for him even though he won't tame you. Or you come in through the harem and will do anything for him because you'll want to. He treats both sides the same and in his own words, 'would take on each legendary with his bare hands if it meant we would stay by his side.' That's him in a nutshell."

Bernadette let the thoughts roll through her head then moved so she could see all of them at once. "He's got to have a bad side, there's got to be something. Does he abuse you, hit you?" She was quickly caught off guard by the almost hysterical laughter they had. "What?"

Ashley did her best to wipe her tears and calm down. "Unless you're sparring with him he'll never lay a hand on you in a way you won't enjoy."

"That's not completely true," Chesra corrected with a grin. "Right Rietta?"

Henrietta gave her a scowl and turned her head. "Did you have to bring that up? I know I was asking for it and all but..." She paused and the laughing vanished when Marco and Kelly teleported in behind Bernadette.

The Piratit was none the wiser and continued. "What happened, why did he hit you?"

Marco's voice still had a hint of depression in it but sounded better. "Because she said I didn't care when she died." His voice on her neck sent a shiver down the Piratit's spine and she turned slowly to see him looking down at her. He reached out and took her gently by the chin before speaking again. "Then I apologized and fucked her senseless that whole night."

"Best apology I've ever gotten." Joked Henrietta. "We were just getting ready to get back to training. Bernie is pretty good for a mid-level."

"That she is, if Carrie were still in need of sword training I would welcome her assistance. Slicers and their evolutions always seem to know how the get the most out of a specific weapon."

"Don't bother, I want everyone to hit the showers and get dressed. I want to be ready to leave in the next hour."

"Where are we going?" Bernadette asked.

"Cerulesbian City, those of you not in the unit are going to need some presentable clothes." Kelly replied quickly.

Marco still hadn't let go of Bernadette's chin but smiled. "Make that two hours, you, you're coming with me. Kel, you mind doing the drop off and pick up?"

Kelly grumbled something incoherent then nodded. "Yeah, it won’t be a problem. Most of the unit will be staying but of course Mina and I will be coming along."

"Let me guess," Marco replied sarcastically. "Pretty Woman Salon?"

"One of the many places we'll be going that's going to cost you money."

"Oh joy."

_____

Cerulesbian City, 1300.

They had teleported in and started to make their way around the city. The city was bustling with activity and people doing lots of shopping. After some thought Marco realized that the year was ending soon and everyone was doing their holiday shopping.

The line outside of the salon wasn't as bad as he remembered it being. Henrietta was taking the command position for taking care of the group. She needed to have her hair dyed again and preferred to have it done professionally. "You sure you don't want to come in this time. It's really not that bad." Henrietta joked.

Marco shook his head and started walking across the street. "That's ok. I've heard rumors about what goes on in there. I'll make some calls and amuse myself across the street." He stopped half way and motioned for Kelly to come over. The two had a brief conversation then he went on his way to the sports bar.

The news was playing on a few of the smaller monitors while the others were running sports highlights. Marco made his call and waited to be joined.

Kasumi arrived within the hour and was dressed for the weather, wearing powder blue baggy snowboarding pants and a matching jacket. The Gym Leader scanned the bar quickly then spotted him. He favored her with a smile and motioned for her to take a seat but she almost knocked him off the stool instead, throwing her arms around him in a hug. Then she reared back and punched him in the head.

"Oww, what the hell was that for?"

"You asshole, the last time I saw you you had been abducted. Henrietta was being wheeled out, announced DOA, and your unit was franticly pissed. Then you call me over three months later like nothing happened?"

Marco rubbed his head and popped his neck. "Ok, fair point. A lot happened that night, and I was abducted, Henrietta was murdered, and yeah it was a bad time." She was about to hit him again but he caught her fist halfway. "I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get back you but a lot happened."

The redhead settled down and took a seat on the stool. "I understand, at least you decided to call me while you were in the city. So what's happened since that night?"

"I spent that night being tortured for information but my unit was able to negotiate an exchange for my release. After that I was hell bent on finding the ones responsible."

The bartender stepped up and smiled pleasantly to them. "Hey Kasumi, you two need anything?"

"A shot of the good stuff, a cola, and an order of fries. So did you ever find the ones responsible?"

Marco nodded and took a sip of his beer. "Let me ask you, did you hear about some military operation in Prussian?"

She brushed her hair back and nodded. "Yeah, it was some massive Team Rocket operation. Trafficking, abduction, and distribution of stolen pokégirls. It was a military... operation... That was you?"

"Yep, we were involved in their capture. The people I was looking for were there as well."

"So what ever happened to them?"

"No clue, I got knocked into a coma during that Op. Woke up over two months later. I can't really tell you more than that."

"Figures, even with my status with the league, there's a lot of information I wouldn't get. I tried to track you down but it was like your information was being blocked."

"Yeah that's not too surprising. My status is iffy at the best of times."

"It fine, no more questions about work. But I guess with all that's happened you haven't made too much progress on the pokégirl circuit."

"You'd be surprised, picked up one badge from Prussian and another from VerMuffEatin. But that was after the coma."

"Ouch those are some rough gyms you've defeated. Where's the others, hell, what's brought you back to Cerulesbian?"

"I've been taken hostage by my harem; they're going to abuse my SLC cards by shopping and getting their hair done."

Kasumi nearly fell out of her chair laughing and wiped a tear from her eyes. "Well I guess if I was your only phone call then I should feel honored. Some special occasion you need to get ready for?"

"You could say that. There's like a 75% chance I'll be meeting with the President of the League in the next couple of days so they needed something presentable."

"Why are you meeting with him... or does that fall into classified information?"

Marco chuckled and snagged one of her fries. "You have no idea how classified. They would throw us both in prison for me even mentioning it." He could tell she didn't believe him and straightened his expression. "Seriously, they would."

"Well then, we need a new subject to talk about. Somehow I don't think I would do well in prison."

Marco chuckled and gave her a pat on the thigh. "Way too pretty for prison and I don't think orange is your color."

The pair continued their conversation for the next two hours. Generally drinking talking and enjoying each other’s company. They had moved to a booth to have more privacy and were having a good time. That was until Marco suddenly found a receipt dangling in front of his face.

"Hair and nails... One, two, three... How!? How did you all manage to spend that much in three hours?!" He spoke and recounted the zeros on the bill.

Kasumi took the receipt and started laughing. "You got off lucky; they charged you the group rate and gave you a military discount."

He took the paper back and stared at it so hard it looked as if it would catch fire. "How do they sleep at night!?"

Jean moved to his side and stared rubbing his neck. "My first guess would be on mattresses filled with money but I don't think it would be very comfortable."

Marco turned and was about to say something but found that his jaw wouldn't come back up. He remember that he did like the look and feel of Jean's hair after the battle. But this was completely different. Each girl seemed to have a glow about them and radiated a level of beauty to left him speechless. Marco wasn't the only one either; every male in the building had stopped what they were doing and gave his harem their undivided attention.

Kasumi leaned forward and lifted his jaw until his mouth closed. "And that is how they can afford to charge so much." She looked to each girl then stopped on Carrie. The Penance still had her hood pulled up and was looking down at the floor. "Come on, let's have a look."

Carrie raised her head and pulled her hood back. By some strange trick of the light, her silver hair appeared to have a halo floating over it. It had been evened out, curled, and styled in a way that was breath taking. The long ponytail the came out the back was separated into three braided tails and cut into what could become razor sharp points.

She made a few hand signs that Chesra quickly translated. "She's asking if you like it?" Still not able to form words he settled on nodding. "See I told you he would love it. What about mine?" Chesra had opted to have her hair bleached then dyed back to its original color.

Bernadette's hair was the same natural shade of red Henrietta and Chesra use to have but was done in a style to match Carrie's. Ashley always kept hers short but thanks to the special conditioner the stylist used tiny sparks could be seen jumping from on tip to another. Kelly and Mina stuck with basic highlights, not wanting to overdo it, though fighting the urge to go red for Marco's enjoyment.

Rational thought was finally returning to Marco and with that his ability to form full sentences. "You all look... breathtaking." One of the men that had just walked into the restaurant caught sight of them and misstepped, knocking over a tray of glasses. "See what I mean."

"What's she doing here?" Kelly asked in a manner that couldn't be seen as polite even on the best days.

'Not this again.' "You guys said it would be a while before you were done and they say never drink alone. So I called her up for some company." He reached over and pulled the Duelist into his lap. "That's not a problem is it?"

She pushed back against his chest to get comfortable then handed him a slip of paper. "I guess not. Where to next?"

"Guess you forgot, clothes shopping next. Heaven help me." He looked across the table to Kasumi and traced her glare back to Kelly who was returning the favor. "Can you two be civil enough to go shopping together or will I have to stand between you the entire time?"

Kelly put on her best innocent look and glanced up at him. "I think we can stand to be around each other and there not be bloodshed."

He moved her off of his lap and slid out the booth. "You'll want to ask Alex for lessons in looking innocent. When you do that it reminds me of my mother. Kasumi, you're welcome to owww..." He groaned from Kelly's elbow in his side. "Welcome to tag along if you like."

The petite redhead moved to his side and smiled. "I would love to."

~~~~~
The group had traveled to a number of stores, mostly window shopping and trying things on. All the while Marco was stuck waiting, holding things, and giving opinions on what he saw. He vaguely remembered getting shot once and having more fun in surgery than he was currently having. If not for some of the provocative outfits they decided to show off he would have taken a chair with the other men by the TV in the waiting area.
Finally they got down to the business of getting appropriate clothing for the hearings they would have to sit through. Those from the unit had their dress uniforms to wear while those from the harem needed something better than their casual clothing. Marco had decided on matching pants suits. It would give them a uniformed and professional look while not coming off too provocative. If they were going to make it out of the meetings without being conditioned then they would need to put their best foot forward.
They left the last store and walked Kasumi back to the gym. She and Kelly had been sniping at each other the whole time but it was all in good fun. "Thanks for the call Marco; I had a pretty good time."
"I bet you did, it didn't cost you anything." He said with a laugh. "Had any worthy challengers since I've been gone?"
"Just a bunch of pansy that are still learning how to battle. They spend so much time correcting their girls and giving orders that the girls can't fight. You, I, and any experienced battler knows to let them do their thing and to only give orders when it's necessary."
Marco pulled the two girls closest to him, Ashley and Kelly, to his side and gave them a hug. "I trust them to get the job done when the time comes. They try their best and never back down." He heaved a heavy sigh as his thoughts drifted back to Leona. "Especially the one I've lost."
Kasumi nodded then stood up on her toes and gave him a kiss. "I've been there; it hurts to remember the good ones. But they always have a place with you and every time you think of them they're smiling because you remember."
"Thanks, I needed to hear that. You have a good night." He waved then turned and started walking off."
"You too!" She yelled back from the door.
"Mine's just getting started!" Marco replied before being teleported away.
______
The group teleported back to the office and went inside. Marco looked over and smiled with an evil grin when he saw the large wooden box sitting next to the door. He had told Kelly to place the requisition order after things had calmed down from the mission and was delighted the supplies came as quickly as they did. "Master Sargent's Henrietta and Chesra, please retrieve your subordinates. I want to see you all in my office within five minutes."
The two looked at each other and nodded. "Yes sir."
~~~~~

Three minutes later found Nikki, Lily, and Rebecca standing at attention in front of their Colonel, the Alpha, and the Beta's. Marco sat patiently on the large wooden crate and looked over the three nervous girls. "So, do you three know why you're standing here right now?"

"No sir!" They said in unison.

"Rebecca, you disobeyed my direct order to stay where you were during our last mission. Did you not?"

The Smokey swallowed hard and spoke softly. "Yyyes sir."

"And in doing so endangered the lives of you, a teammate, and a member of Queen Mera's court. Right?"

"Yes sir."

"Nikki, you went along with her correct?"

The Sexslash did her best to stand still and answer with confidence. It just came out in a tremble. "Yes sir."

"Sir," Rebecca interrupted before he could speak. "As a higher ranking member of the unit she was under my order and following my example. She doesn't need to be here."

Marco stood up quickly from the box and stepped towards her. "Then I guess that means you get two toe tags."

"She never forced me to go, I willingly went with her." Nikki said confidently.

Rebecca was about to speak again when Marco's voice boomed between them. "Quiet, both of you! You both pay the consequences. Henrietta, you had something."

The Ghost Rider stepped up and looked between the three girls. "Lily, do you remember what I said?"

It wasn't a trick of the light that made the Gloomy look depressed. She remembered exactly what her leader said; she was just hoping she forgot. "Yes ma'am."

"And though you did return to battle, the time you spent with me could have been used to help the others. Alex was right next to me, I was going to be fine."

"After I shot you I panicked, I..."

"You were afraid, I know, we all were. Renae took some bad hits and we lost Leona, there was nothing you or any of us could have done to stop what happened. But your being out there makes a huge difference. You have the potential to be great but you have to be decisive and level headed." Though her voice was stern her words were comforting to the Gloomy.

Marco walked around the desk and took a seat in his chair. "They are all yours Major." The five of them had already decided their punishment a head of time; he just normally let Kelly hand out the sentence.

Kelly opened up the box to reveal thousands of toothbrushes. "You three are to clean the entire team bathroom using these, and then tomorrow you'll spend the day ironing the Dress Uniforms for the unit. Is that understood?"

"Yes ma'am!" They said through a sigh of relief. Marco had been in a foul mood and they were expecting something much harsher.

As they turned to leave Marco cleared his throat and stopped them. "I've got two things to add. That was good work on a hard mission, especially your bringing down one of the Goths Rebecca. And ... I'm glad you all made it back safely."

"Thank you sir." Came back along with a quick salute and the quickly exited the room, though not before taking the box with them.

Marco sat back and rubbed his neck until Henrietta came around to do it for him. "Give them a few more years and they will be an amazing team. Henrietta, talk to Rebecca later and see if she wants to evolve... as a matter of fact ask Lily too. Maybe a new form will boost her confidence."

"Consider it done sir."

"Sir? Oh yeah, I was being all official back there. I guess I better keep that mindset; I have an important call to make. You guys can stand by; he may decide to come right over."

The five of them started on their down to the Ops Con. Along the way Marco poked his head into the teams bathroom and saw that the girls were already hard at work. They really didn't screw up as bad as he made it seem and in reality was proud of their conduct during the mission. All the same he wondered if they realized that they had started at the wrong end of the bathroom and would eventually clean themselves into a corner. He could of told them right then but it seemed they needed a lesson in minding their surroundings.

Once in the control room Marco pulled up the information for General Butcher and placed the call. None of them were too surprised when it went through and to the voice mail. It was after hours and the General had more than likely gone home by then. He dialed the number again but this time added an extra set of digits into the extension. The phone rang like it did before but this time it wouldn't stop until someone answered on the other line

A minute had gone by and the receiver finally picked up. "Phone of General Butcher, urgency code acknowledged." Hiyori responded. "Please state your name, clearance, and unit."

"Colonel Marco Readmam; Top Secret: Omega, Avalanche."

"Confirmed Colonel Readman, I'll put the General on." In the background there was the sound of shuffling around then a click as the call connected to a video phone. Butcher was still wearing half his uniform and didn't look thrilled to be getting a call. "Colonel Readman, what's so urgent?"

Marco gave a stern salute then stood at rest. "Continental Asylum, issue."

The General's eyes got large and he sucked in a breath. He picked up on the code word and knew that he would see Readman in person. Their lines weren't completely secured and they couldn't discuss that kind of information over them. "I'll be there in a half an hour."

"Thank you sir."

_____

General Butcher arrived exactly when he said he would and was quickly taken to the Ops Con room. Hiyori was with him as always and neither one of them were too happy. That feeling was amplified when Marco and Kelly handed them their field reports, thick heavy folders. On the end of the table sat a large metal case.

Butcher took a seat and sat the folder on the table. "I'll go over the reports later. Right now I need to know exactly what happened, what kind of possible damage were looking at, and if a cover-up is possible?"

"A cover-up isn't necessary. We lost one of our members in the engagement but we made the captures. The only ones with full knowledge of Sanctuary is my unit, the handler Christina Reynolds, Ariel, and my harem."

"Captures? How many did you get?"

Marco slid the case to the other end of the table and plugged a cord into the side. Instantly all the data from the balls appeared on the screen. The case it's self was developed as a counter measure to pokégirls who were able to break out of their pokéballs. "Thirteen total, ten that are clearly from sanctuary and three video girls."

Hiyori whistled in amazement and leaned forward in her chair. "I know I doesn't make up for the loss of one or your own, but that's amazing work. It's rare that Sanctuary agents are brought in at all, let alone brought in alive."

"Thank the unit, if it were up to me we would have one less Goth."

"All things considered that's understandable." Butcher commented. "Where did this all go down?"

"We were doing a personal favor that took us out into international waters, from there we air dropped onto an uncharted island. After that we captured a pirate who gave us a vague description of the Goths and dames. We made a deal with the pirate captains to stay out of our way while we took care of the Sanctuary forces. In exchange the pirates got to leave with their lives."

"Why not eliminate the pirates?" Asked Hiyori.

Kelly sat up and flipped through her own copy of the report. "We were told and then confirmed the presence of over sixty pirates in the facility. Even though we probably could have eliminated the pirate fleet the casualties would have been unacceptable."

"Any casualty is unacceptable Major." Said Butcher. "Knowing the Colonel I'm sure a contingency to deal with the pirates is already in place."

"Yes sir, we placed a tracker on the ship we let them take. If they come into Indigo waters we should get an alert."

"You mentioned the pirates were in a facility. What kind of facility?"

Marco grabbed a remote then motioned towards the large monitor. A click of the button brought up a slide show of photos on one part of the screen while the other part ran recorded footage. "I believe we're looking at one of Subeki's hidden labs. It doesn't show up on radar due to the magical fog that surrounds it, but seems to house a wealth of forbidden tech." He clicked the remote again and the cameras switched to views of the three carriers. "Three ships that were being used by the pirates. We didn't have anyone who could pilot them so they are left at the facility."

Butcher shook his head and sat back. "Astonishing, simply astonishing. Summers will have a lot of work on his hands. I have to say, this is way better than I had expected when you called. I was expecting to have to organize a team to deal with a Sanctuary threat. And here you are, Goths, dames, Video Girls, and a secret base all nicely packaged with a bow on it. Good work Readman."

Marco took a seat and shook his head. "We both know I can't take full credit for this. As always the ladies did the heavy lifting. The main thing I want to make sure of though is that all parties attached to me are safe given they now have knowledge of Sanctuary."

"I understand where you're coming from. All of Avalanche has been vetted already so they’re in the clear. The girls from you harem are a different story, they would have to maintain status in your harem or be level fived. Chris and Ariel are already attached to the league and be dealt with internally in need be. On the other hand they are attached to your unit and fall under your umbrella as it were."

"If worse comes to worse then I'll make the harem part of the unit."

Hiyori chuckled to herself. "I always considered them to be as much."

"My sentiments exactly." Butch said and rose from his seat. "If there's nothing else we'll get going. I'll make the call in the morning and have a team from SII come and take possession of everything related to this mission. They will conduct the interrogations of the Sanctuary Goths and dames."

"The Goths are fitted with restraints and anti-teleport collars already. I was a able to beat one on my own so their physical abilities are meager." Marco explained and stood as well. "All the same their psychic auras are pretty strong; I'd advise having dark-type pokégirls on hands. They're immune to the attacks."

"I'll be sure to emphasize that when I make the call. As always you're a credit to the league." Butcher stuck his hand out and gave Readman's a firm shake then picked up the folders. He felt the outline of a data stick and looked up. "What's this?"

"The same reports as well as the only other video copy of the mission that hasn't been adapted. You have one and I have one. The copy that SII gets tomorrow will have been cut and shortened."

"What's on here that isn't on the one you're giving them?"

"Our air drop, the capture of the first pirate, my deal with the pirate captain, and the release of the hostages... also me trying to kill the S. Goth. Not one of my finest moments."

"Just be ready to answer any questions they may have."

"Who’s going to be there?" Chesra asked and began leading them out.

"Of course I will be in attendance, as well as a few of the Generals that are in the know. The President of the league, Chief of the League, and the directors of the SII and IGS will be there and that's the short list."

Kelly groaned and held her head while they continued walking. "The Director of the IGS, I wonder if she's still holding that grudge from me detaining Richard?"

"Melanie filed a personal complaint with the IRS about you Major and she didn't like the response they gave her. It's rather difficult to explain why an IGS field agent is trying to kill a registered member of the military."

"What ever happened to him?" Marco asked.

"Not a clue Colonel. That fell under compartmentalized security." Butcher took a big sniff of the crisp night air and yawned. "I wasn't too thrilled about being pulled away from my home at such a late hour but I would say this was worth it. I knew it was worth keeping you on the payroll."

"I knew it had nothing to do with my winning personality. Have a good night sir."

"You as well Colonel, ladies." Hiyori placed a hand on her General's shoulder and they both quickly disappeared.

The group made their way back inside and Marco checked his watch. The building was surprisingly quiet and the rest of the unit couldn't be found. "Where is everyone."

"The majority of the unit are in the bathroom helping Becca, Nikki, and Lily clean. You never said they couldn't have help and it's a good team building thing. Emaline and Renae are taming each other along with Chris. Bernadette is attempting to cook diner and not set the kitchen on fire. And I believe the rest of the harem is in the lounge." Kelly replied and leaned back into his legs. "That leaves the five of us to our own devices."

"Looks like someone is in the mood." Joked Mina. She stalled when he pulled her over and gave her a kiss. "Now that's just not fair."

"I know my bed is nowhere near big enough to handle what we're about to subject it to but oh well." Marco said with a sinister smirk.

Henrietta moved up behind him and slid her arms around his waist then started running her fingers through Kelly's hair. "Now you're just being greedy." She said as she nuzzled her head into his neck.

"So does that mean you want out?"

"Not a chance."

The next morning at the base of Alphonso Haures the Chief of the League was getting dressed and ready to head into work. Evan had locked himself away with what was revealed to be a Killer Queen and neither of them had been seen in the last two days. Haures had been upset ever since being forced to bow to the pokégirl and he'd washed his hands of dealing with Arianna, leaving her to Evan and Delilah.

The Dark Queen had been running out of options up to that point. But the simple slip of the tongue from Evan gave her the much needed information she had been working for. Now she was going to need to figure out her next move. She still didn't have proper access to the teleport jammer to turn it off. She could request that it be turned off but then she would have to leave that very moment. Once she left she could try and organize Arianna's rescue but by the time she came back it would be too late, not to mention never knowing the exact location of the base. As far as she knew they could be on the other side of the planet.

Then there were the pokégirls she would have to deal with. For all her power she knew she couldn't beat both Andzral and Tessa at the same time. On top of that she had no idea what the composition of Evan's harem was and the middle of a fight was a bad time to discover that she was outclassed. If it really did come down to fighting them then fear was her best weapon. Despite her calm disposition and pleasant attitude towards them she knew the Espea and Thorne were terrified of her. Tessa wasn't afraid of the Dark Queen but Delilah had already proven that the Neo-Iczel's brute strength meant nothing to her. That left Andzral, who would have to be handled very carefully. She was a killer down to her core and would only follow orders that came from her master.

Arianna awoke when the sound of the door opening alerted her. She had given everything she had to trying to break the chains attaching her to the wall but they had held firm. The War Hound knew what was coming, she had pegged the girl as a Killer Queen from the moment she saw her. Her only hope was that they were careless in how they handled the situation. There was little chance of that though. She had made it very clear just how big and what kind of threat she posed and they had been taking the necessary precautions to deal with her.

Tessa was the first one to enter, followed quickly by Pamela, Andzral, Evan, and Delilah bringing up the rear. The Dark Queen made eye contact with Arianna and shook her head then took a spot on the wall. Pamela looked as though she had just gotten out of the shower and was ready to get to work.

Arianna took a sniff of the air and crinkled her nose. "Yep, looks like a whore, smells like a whore, I wonder what it could be?" She said in hopes of antagonizing her into getting too close.

"I can't wait until she gets done with you. Then I can shove something in the foul mouth of yours." Evan barked. In all his time breaking pokégirls he'd never had one aggravate him as much as Arianna had managed to and he'd only been around her for a week.

Delilah rose from the wall and stepped forward. "Before this happens I want you to reconsider just giving us the information we want. Things will be a lot easier on you if you do."

"The hell they will, I'm going to take my sweet time bringing her in line!" Pamela shouted.

The Dark Queen looked at the girl in dumbfounded shock. "I... I don't think I can find the proper words to express just how much of an idiot you are."

"Don't feel bad Delilah, I'm sure it's a result of her time spent sucking off that moron. His stupidity must be contagious." Arianna laughed, though secretly trying to hide her tension.

"You'll get to find out first hand after Pam's done with you. Then, after I've turned you into my personal subservient bitch you're going to tell me everything we need to know about Avalanche. You'll sell out your friends and family just to get another taste of my dick. And your final reward? I'll make sure you look Readman in the eye just before you jam my knife into his heart."

The chains attached to the wall groaned and metal plate started to buckle under the strain of Arianna lashing out. "I'll kill you!"

"You had your chance. Spray her down then we'll leave these two to get better acquainted."

Tessa pulled out the canister of Paraspray and fired a healthy dose in the War Hound's direction. Arianna fraught with everything she had left, trying desperately to get loose but finally slumped down. She was able to hold back her tears, fear, and apprehension. She knew it was only a matter of time before she fell under the control of the Killer Queen.

"I will never be fully under her power; some part of me will always fight back. And even though it will pain the Colonel to do it, he will kill me if I ask him to. I'll be free."

Pamela formed her whip and draped it over her shoulder before taking Arianna by the chin and planting a forceful kiss on the girl. "As long as I live you will never be free. Lord and Master Domico will get what he wants, so I can get what I want." She closed her eyes and began to let her powers surge forth stopping only briefly when she felt something lay upon her head.  She reached up and felt the jewels in the crown and was instantly moist.

"We'll be back in twelve hours to see how things are going."

"She will be yours Master."

They all left the room and Delilah stuck her hands back in her pockets. The display she had watched was unnerving; she could tell that in the next twelve hours Arianna would be lost. She would just have to focus her attention on completing her primary mission. The door to Haures's office was opened but she let Andzral lead the way. Alphonso appeared to be in a hurry and was gathering papers from a lockbox in his desk.

"Something troubling you Master?" Andzral spoke softly.

"Just something unexpected. There was a capture of several Omega level pokégirls and a Sukebe base. There are going to be a lot of people in this meeting, the president of the league included."

Delilah folded her arms and thought for a moment. "Omega classified pokégirls and a base? Sounds like Sanctuary to me?"

Haures paused what he was doing and looked to the Dark Queen. "What? How do you know about them?"

"Information is one of the things I do best. It's no matter though, I need to leave and get back to my agents."

"Why?" He asked and attempted to straighten his tie.

"I hate to leave room for error unintentionally. I'll be gathering more information on Readman while Mr. Domico finished up with the War Hound."

"Ok then, how long do you expect to be gone?"

"A few days at the least, I'll let you know when I have something more." She said and stepped up to untie then retie his tie, then ended with a pat on his chest.

"Fine, I'll be leaving soon anyway. Be sure to bring back good news."

"I'll try my best, Mr. Haures."

Indigo Plateau, 1100, IRS Building

The meeting room they had taken up was large by most standards. It would need to be to house the large number of people attending this particular meeting. It was a large and circular room with a holographic projector in the center. Each desk had a computer terminal install where the user could input data for display to the rest of attendants in the meeting.

Regular military operations weren't much to get excited over; it was the nature of their business. This was different though. The Sanctuary group was seen as a menace and a danger by almost all leagues and were to be handled as quietly as possible. If the public ever got wind of a group of pokégirls that didn't need taming there was no telling what the fall out would be.

Directors from the different departments had already taken their seats and were awaiting the arrival of the president so the impromptu meeting could be started. The information that had gone out was vague and the true reason for the meeting wouldn't be discussed until all concerned parties were present. When the doors opened from the other end nearly a dozen pokégirls entered and took up positions around the room. Their breeds and types were varied and hidden as well as any weapons they carried and distinguishing features.  Next entered several humans, presidential staff, they moved to their seats but stood until the president entered. Finally the man in charge entered, fairly middle aged but with a strong presence. His neatly pressed suit and indigo tie seemed stiff and ridged but would move with ease as he sat down. The others quickly followed suit and the meeting began.

"I'd like to thank you all for showing up on such short notice. We'll try and make this quick and painless." The man in the business suit spoke and addressed the group of officials. "There was an incident that occurred that resulted in the capture of several high value, Omega Level pokégirls. Specifically three Sanctuary Goths, three Dameosaur, three Nessidame, and a Tyrannodame." The officials started having low discussions with each other and the man raised his hand to get their attention again. "Also captured were three Video Girls, possibly from Sanctuary. The SII will be heading up the interrogations of the pokégirls in question."

From the side one of the military personal in attendance stood up. "There aren't any records of an operation being held that involved Sanctuary."

The man nodded in agreement and gave the officer his attention. "There wouldn't be from what I understand. General Butcher, can you enlighten us to the nature of this operation."

Butcher cleared his throat and looked around the room. Hiyori had a position on the wall behind him and handed him the folders containing Marco and Kelly’s field reports. "The nature of this operation was a purely coincidental fluke. A subordinate officer from the Black Ops Division was handling personal business that took him and his unit into international waters. From there he discovered a pirate fortress, one of Subeki's hidden labs, and the Sanctuary Goths."

The IRS official gave Butcher a skeptical looks. "Why would the entire unit go with the officer on what was a personal matter? Furthermore why would this personal matter take him out of league jurisdiction?"

"It's a pokégirl unit; it would be hard to stop them from going with their commanding officer. As for the personal matter, it was personal and treated as such. He didn't go into detail with me and I didn't press the issue."

"Wasn't it covered in his field report?"

"It was but that fell under compartmentalized security and won't be discussed here."

The president looked over to Butcher and raised an eyebrow. "So what you're saying is that his reason for going out there and his running into the Sanctuary forces fall into two different areas. He went with one purpose that required the cooperation of his full unit and responded to the Sanctuary threat by using that unit to subdue them. Who is this officer? I'm aware that the Black Ops Division has a great deal of latitude when it comes to how they work but this seems to be a bit much."

"The officer in question in Colonel Marco Readman, founder and head of the Avalanche Unit. He's currently sitting at the back corner with the rest of his unit."

Haures actually felt his stomach lurch when he heard that Marco was in the room. There was a small commotion as the group of officials looked to the man sitting on the corner, backed by nearly two dozen pokégirls. All dressed in their formal attire.

The president turned his attention to the unit. He'd heard of them as well as read reports of their actions. It was all quite impressive as far as he was concerned and a step in the right direction for the league. All the same, Mao's Rebellion wasn't that far from the leagues memory and the wound needed proper time to heal. "Colonel, would you please explain the purpose for being on that island."

"Yes Mr. President." He said with a stern voice and internal sigh. He pressed a few buttons on his console and brought Mera's data to the center holographic display. "A few months ago Wet Queen Mera's colonies were being attacked and raided by mysterious ships. She filed an official inquiry with the league to ascertain the military involvement with the raids."

A naval officer from the other end of the room. "I remember the inquiry; we made it clear that the navy had no involvement with the incidents."

"As I was saying, my harem and I were in the area attending to personal business for the unit when..."

The president sat forward and cleared his throat. "The nature of the business?"

"Sending one of my unit off to be educated. She was a recruit feral born Catgirl and needed to learn the basics." He explained then pulled Tam's data up.

A female from the Pokégirl Regulatory Affairs Department stood up next. "You are aware that since Mao's Rebellion it is against regulations to educate them in anything past basic skills."

This time Marco took an actual deep breath and sat back in his chair before closing his eyes. "I'll start by explaining that you know nothing about the military. Move into the idea that given your lack of knowledge you know nothing about what knowledge is necessary to run a successful operation. And end with politely requesting that I not be interrupted concerning how I run my unit." There was a brief pause and the woman was about to speak again but Marco cut in. "Furthermore, I was given permission to run my unit how I see fit. So back to the matter at hand; I ran into Wet Queen Mera later that night while taking care of another issue. She explained the situation to me and I agreed to see into it. We made preparations and got a call three days later."

"I see, and just how did Mera come into contact with you?" Asked the man in the business suit.

"She stopped by my parent’s residents to ask a question of one of my unit and asked me to do her the favor. We had a going away party for recruit Tam and the entire unit was there."

From the far side another man addressed the room. This one was in a suit like the first man but stayed seated while he pulled out a sheet of paper. "Anthony Caswell, Director of the SII. Colonel Readman, I'd like to know how many people were aware of Sanctuary after the mission?"

"Due to the nature of their discovery and involvement, that knowledge extends to my unit, which includes Detective Christina Reynolds and Detective Ariel of the Sandstone Police Department, who are sitting to my left. As well as my personal harem, which all things considered are an extension of my unit. The exception to that is Tam, who wasn't around for the mission, and Bernadette who was one of the pirates and joined my harem afterwards."

"Why were your harem and the detectives made privy to Omega Level classified intel?"

"Because they were going to be fighting them. I prefer to have all the information I can get before an operation and I extend the same courtesy to those under my command."

"Right, has anyone from your unit made contact with the Sanctuary pokégirls since their capture?"

"No, it was declared in their benefit that they not come out. When your department took custody of them they hadn't been healed yet and the Goths should still be in the restraints we placed them in... I would like that case back by the way."

"We'll give it back as soon as the transfer process is complete. Next thing, the base you mentioned in your report. Can you give us more specifics about it?"

Marco raised an eye brow and gave the man a questioning look. "Did you just read the part that said Sanctuary Goth and stop there? A full description of the base, including photographs and a video recorded tour were included with the other data your agency seized when they took the case. There's nothing I can tell you that wouldn't be covered in there."

Caswell returned the look Marco gave him with one of irritation. "I don't appreciate your tone."

"And I don't appreciate being asked stupid lazy questions or my time being wasted. Yeah, you're the director of the SII and all but my unit did the leg work. We fought the battle, we made the captures, and we're the ones who lost one of our own in that mission. All your organization has to do is interrogate them, so excuse me if I take offense to your inability to read some documents and watch some footage of people actually out there getting their hands dirty." The seating arrangement of Marco's girls had been discussed well before they got there and one thing they all agreed on was that Carrie would sit behind him. She had the best track record of bringing back down once he got pissed off and in a room full of potential enemies it was bound to happen. She gently slid her hand onto his shoulder and he sat back and took a calming breath.

The rest of the room on the other hand was still quite startled by his outburst. Caswell turned to look at the man heading the meeting to see if he would say something but got a shrug in return. "You seem to have some issue with authority don't you?"

"I'll always have an issue dealing with lazy people if that's what you're asking." He typed in some data on his keyboard and frowned when the screen flashed red. "But after recent events, I've managed to develop an extreme dislike for government agencies. I don't suppose the director of the IGS would like to comment on that right now?"

Melanie glared at Marco from behind her glasses. Like the majority of the room she was much older than him and didn't enjoy the idea of being addressed in such a manner. At the same time she was still getting heat from the IRS concerning the incident and couldn't afford to be aggressive towards him. "Colonel, I'll speak to you directly, later."

The heads of the other agencies started murmuring between themselves in an attempt to figure out what was going on. The attack against Marco was covered up and classified so quickly that only the concerned parties knew what really happened. Things quickly started to get loud and the original purpose of the meeting was being lost. The president on the other hand appeared to be in deep thought then stood up to speak. "Colonel Readman, we all appreciate the lengths you went to to bring us this very valuable information and capture the Sanctuary forces. You're a valuable asset to the league and I for one am sorry you lost one of your team in the line of duty. We're going to take a break and reconvene in two hours. At that time we'll review the videos taken by your unit and you can answer any pertinent questions we may have."

Marco rose from his seat and gave a salute. "Thank you Mr. President, I'll take that time to collect myself."

With nothing else said the pokégirls lining the wall started shifting positions. Half of them left the room in the same entrance they came in from while the other half waited for the president and his staff to start moving then quickly secured his flank followed him out. Once he left the rest of the directors started heading for the exits. Marco was preparing to get up when he was approached by Butcher, Hiyori, Caswell, and Melanie.

"I really hope you two aren't expecting an apology."

Butcher chuckled to himself and took a seat. "You've already mouthed off to Caswell; I just wanted to introduce you to Melanie Ledda so you can hash things out with her too."

Melanie took a seat next to Butcher and scooted a bit closer than anyone was expecting. "A lot younger than I was expecting. Ahh youth."

Marco's eyes narrowed along with Kelly's who was sitting next to him. "Is this an official meeting?" The three of them looked to each other then shrugged and shook their heads. "Permission to speak freely?"

Butcher gave Marco a questioning look. "Granted."

"Fuck them. Him for his stupid questions and her because I spent over two months in a coma thanks to her agent."

"That's enough Colonel." Butcher commanded. "You'll have to excuse him. Brilliant and very capable but still young and very passionate."

Ledda nodded in agreement. "We were all there once Leo. Colonel, I wanted to express my apologies about what happened. We're still trying to get to the bottom of the incident."

"SII is heading up the investigation. Right now were still trying to figure out who the ringleader behind this is. The Major's videos of her interrogation are very helpful, wouldn't mind having her and Alexis in the agency." Caswell said with a sly grin.

"If you watched the videos then you can understand why I have absolutely zero trust for any agency at this moment. Until I'm certain who I'm gunning for everyone gets a target." Marco stated firmly.

"You were right Butcher; just make sure you use due process. Let's go get some lunch." The four of them got up to leave but near the door Caswell turned back. "Before I was anywhere near being the director of SII I was also in the military. I too know what it feels like to lose family in the field. You all have my condolences."

"Thanks." Marco and the rest of the unit waited where they were until the rest of the room cleared. "Alex, Zi?"

"They were both clean but the scent is in the room." Zianna stated before getting out of her seat and staring her way around the room.

Alexis appeared sitting on the desk that was next to where the directors had been. "Richard is currently on suspension but here in Indigo. He frequents an establishment called ******. The investigation that they are running has hit a dead end but they are looking for leads where ever they can find then. Neither one of them have seen Arianna."

~Earlier that morning~

The unit, the harem, and the handlers all met in the Ops Con room. Marco had said they needed to go over special details but none of them really had a clue what about. "Here's what's going to happen ladies. Sometime between now and in the next few days I'm going to get a call to go to the Indigo Plateau to attend a meeting. It's generally going to be a debriefing about our capture of the Sanctuary Goths. The entire intelligence community is going to be there too as far as I would guess. You're all coming with me."

Bernadette looked around tensely and raised her hand. "Do I have to be there too?"

"Yes, you can stay in the ball but you have to be there. Here's the critical part. Based on what we know, one of the government agencies has decided to fit me for a head bag so they can get you. That means that Arianna's captors might be there as well. After the meeting is over I want you, Zianna to see if her scent is in the room. Alex, if I speak to anyone I want you scanning their thoughts. If anything important comes up let me know."

"Sir, wouldn't it be easier for me to just roam the room while you're speaking and see what I pick up?" Alexis asked with focused eyes.

"The president will be there and so will his personal detail. A single pokégirl from every type, you can't do that and not be spotted by the dark-type. Not to mention the room’s surveillance cameras." Alex nodded and he continued. "If and or when we find our target I don't want either of you to act, especially you Zi. I know it's going to be hard, I trust you to keep it together. I'll set the trap and out them in the meeting."

"Why not just take them when they aren't expecting it." Nikki asked.

"Because he would kill them." Henrietta, Chesra, and Kelly stated firmly while Carrie nodded vigorously.

"What they said. I would torture them until they told me where Arianna was then I would take them to the beach."

Renae blew a cold wind from her breath and tapped her fingers on the table. "If the seating is random how will we know who was sitting where?"

"Chris and Ariel will be sitting next to me. Ariel has a photographic memory; she'll remember the faces and who’s sitting where. These are high profile people too, their faces will be known and easy to find."

~~~~~~~
Marco and the others waited patiently for Zianna to finish. The Lupina had made it half way around the large room and was nearing the presidential section when she stopped. She sniffed one then took a big sniff of the other and ran back. "That's the one, Ariel who was sitting in the second one?"
The entire list of names and photos blazed through the Officerjenny's mind in a matter of seconds and stopped on one. "Alphonso Haures, so I have to ask. Before we go accusing the chief of the league, how strong was the scent?"
"It isn't passive or accidental; he has her scent on him like Kelly has the Colonel's after they spend the night together."
Everyone heard a faint creaking sound and the delta bonded girls started to feel anxious. Their bond with Marco was becoming stronger, to the point that they could tell his exact emotional state through it. At the moment he was pissed off but it was subsiding quickly thanks to Carrie. "Going to nail that bastard to the wall."
"Let's go before someone starts asking why we're still in here." Kelly stated in a desperate need for fresh air.
"Good idea, this room is bugged anyway. I'm going to walk around for a bit, who wants back in the ball or wants to go home." He wasn't too surprised when no one moved. They were in the heart of enemy territory and weren't going to leave his side until they were home.
On their walk through the city they passed the park where they had done their prisoner exchange. Marco thought back to the incident and began to wonder why he didn't report Spencer after he got back. Looking forward he caught the sway of Henrietta's hips and it came back to him. 'I was trying to kill him, that's why.'
"That's why what?" Henrietta asked out loud.
"Huh? Did you hear that?"
"Kind of, it was like an echo in my head."
He glanced at her hips again. "Better be careful about what I’m thinking now."
Henrietta took a few more steps then paused. "I think we would need a harness to make that work but it's worth a try."
"Colonel Readman!?" Came in a yell from across the street.
"Who wants to know!?" He yelled back and turned to see the man standing there with three women behind him. The first one had brownish pink hair and stood next to the man. The second’s hair was full on black and pink, her sharp facial features formed into a scowl as she looked at one of the girls from Marco’s side. The last one had pale skin and black hair. Though the others stood confidently she appeared to quiver in fear behind the man and was trying to avoid eye contact.
An answer was never given; Kelly had spotted the black haired girl hiding behind the man and recognized her instantly. "YOU!" A card shot into her hand and disappeared to the sound of a loud roar overhead.
"Me?" Minerva replied while backing away.
Another girl from the stranger’s side of the street pointed to Henrietta. "YOU!" Metal armor started sliding down her arms and taking place to cover her skin along with wings sprouting from her back.
Not wasting a second the skin began to melt off Henrietta's head and black flames circled around her. "Bring it bitch!"
The two sides looked ready to tear into each other until their masters spoke up. "Stand down!" An Officerjenny rounded the corner and spotted the two groups starring each other down. Her first instinct was to announce herself and intervene. Then she caught sight of Kelly, remembered the last time she ran into her, and turned around.
The man from the other side of the street made his way across, being sure to keep his distance. Henrietta disengaged her battle form and Kelly recalled her card but stayed ready to attack if need be. The Night Nurse had pulled her armor back in but the Sarama was still quaking behind her master. After getting a better look at her Marco started to vaguely remember seeing her before.
The two men broke away from their respective groups and met in the center. "Yes, I'm Colonel Readman. Apparently two of my girls recognize some of yours and aren't happy about that fact. But you weren't trying to attack me so I'll at least hear you out."
"The name's Phillip Wade, Ranger Phillip Wade of SLOI."
