It had been three days since the incident at the police station.

Trance was more than happy to put it behind him, but the local Jennys were keeping a rather close eye on him. It's for this reason that he had opted to hide out in the Pokégirl Center with his harem where he could keep up some semblance of privacy.

But being stuck in a room full of females, even if they are normally naked and on top of you, can drive even the strongest of men to the edges of sanity. This is doubly true when every five minutes you hear-

"Ah! Damnit L-E, I said not to touch it! Now look what you did!"

Trance sighed and rolled over on his bed to stare at the pair of girls that were now arguing. B-atrice, the tallest of his new girls, also the most sensitive, was almost in tears as she tried to put her toothpick tower back together.

L-E, the most curious of the five, merely stared at the girl and her project, her battle-axe tail tip waving slowly behind her.

E-den, the self appointed leader of the troop stormed over to the pair, her scimitar-shaped tail swinging wildly behind her. Just as she was about to berate the girls for disturbing their master, Trance rolled out of bed and raised his voice above the sobs of B-atrice.

"B.L.A.D.E.! Ten-hut!"

In a matter of seconds, all five bunny-girls were standing at attention directly in front of him, B-atrice doing her best to get her tears under control while E-den stood at the end of the line beside D-va, the latter female holding her hands behind her back with a book as she held her finger on her page.

Trance looked at A-ah, the shortest and quietest of the 5, her calculating look and cool demeanor matched by how slowly her own scimitar-tipped tail waved behind her head, as if always ready for an attack.

Aurora and Larix looked up from their card game, and Larix watched the body language of the five. They all figured they were about to be punished. At least that's what she figured from their long dark ears, each with a white patch of fur on the left ear ear tip, laying against the back of each one's head.

Trance looked over the girls and sighed, suddenly feeling like one of the many teachers he and Kara had terrorized when they were younger, causing his Rebel curse to nearly give him an anxiety attack. "You five behave yourselves. L-E, I realize you want to help, but you have to ask before you touch other people's things. We've had this discussion before, and I don't want to have it again. E-den, get your tail under control. The way it waves could seriously hurt someone."

He turned to B-atrice now. "As for you, you have to start sticking up for yourself. If L-E is about to do something you don't want her to do, then stop her."

He looked at the other two now, A-ah and D-va, but focused on A-ah. "You two are fine, but A-ah, I really wish you would stop staring at me quite like that. No offense, but with your body language it almost looks like your imagining ways to remove my skin without my noticing, and it's kinda creepy."

A-ah smiled softly and a quiet giggle flowed from her throat.

Trance disbanded the small platoon seconds before the door burst open, causing the bunnies to all encircle Trance with their tails at the ready.

Aurora looked from them to Larix with a grin. "I like them. They know what the priority in battle is."

Saravi and Seria looked at Trance, who was trying to hide his laughter from the middle of the Wabbit squadron, and just gave him a curious look before Saravi regained her previous momentum and launched herself at Trance, the bunnies moving aside to allow the tackle to follow through.

"Trance! Guesswhatguesswhat?"

Seria giggled and held up a bag as she walked over to help pull the fox girl off her tamer.

Trance brushed hair out of his face and raised an eyebrow. "You found an unclaimed plastic bag and brought it back as a present? You shouldn't have."

Saravi looked confused and shook her head. "Nu-uh. That's just weird."

It was now Larix' turn to laugh as the joke flew clear over the furball's head.

Trance rolled his eyes and stood up again. "Then I give up. Wadja get?"

Seria reached in the bag and pulled out a silver disk a bit smaller than a CD but several times as thick.

"My Reading HM is here!" Saravi said, as usual completely unable to contain her excitement.

Trance took the device and nodded. "So it is. But, what else is in the bag? It looks quite heavy to just be an empty sack."

Seria reached in again and pulled out a Sky Crystal and a Water Stone.

"Wonderful!" exclaimed Trance, clapping his hands together once. "I was hoping you'd find them. Did the shop keeper give you too much trouble?"

Seria rolled her eyes and shook her slowly head before pointing at Saravi who looked slightly offended. "Hey! It's not my fault I can't control this damned tail yet!"

Trance sighed and took the two stones from Seria. "And exactly how much did whatever you broke cost us?"

"50," Saravi said carefully.

"Credits? Sounds like a bargain," Larix responded as she laid down three of a kind and claimed her winnings and right to deal again.

"Thousand," Saravi mumbled, now staring a hole into the floor.

Trance sighed and covered his face with a hand. "Oh boy... Well, that's coming out of your allowance."

Saravi looked up sharply. "Wait, I'm not in trouble?"

Trance took the water stone and chuckled. "Oh no, you're in trouble, but you'll be doing lots of training anyway so I doubt you'll notice the extra. Now then," he held out his right hand with the Sky Crystal in it. "Place your left hand here."

Saravi did as told, her tail waving excitedly behind her.

Trance then held up the Water Crystal and looked her in the eyes. "You have to be sure you want this evolution. Once it's done, there is no going back."

The words were hardly out of his mouth before Saravi set her right hand on the second gem and Saravi was engulfed in the blinding light of evolution. Once it died, Saravi stood before the group at the same 5'3" she had been before, but her breasts had swollen to the standard high C of the breed, and the added fluff of her snow white fur added to their size. Saravi stepped back from her tamer and looked down at her new body.

The Hoarfoxx squealed loudly and pounced her tamer, covering him in kisses and rubbing roughly against him.

Larix and Aurora recalled the Blade Bunnies as they, plus Seria, left their tamer and their newly evolved harem sister to enjoy each other in peace.

20:32, August 19th 312AS, Azalea Town

Trance sat on the floor with his harem, the bunnies now put up in long term storage, and Saravi still passed out on the bed.

Aurora had a list of the group's gear and Larix, Seria, and Trance were pulling the items out of the poképacks, inspecting them, then repacking them in another pack.

They had just reached the jackets and were re-folding them when something fell out of the pocket of the one Seria had been holding. She picked it up and handed it to Trance.

"I can't believe I forgot about his," he said as he enlarged and inspected the oddly colored pokéball he had found on the dead tamer.

Aurora took one look at the object and dropped her list. "That's a Pokékit ball."

Trance looked up at Aurora then back down at the pokéball and hit the release. The short, yellow furred girl that formed in front of them took one look at the group and screamed.

Saravi was up in an instant and hit the perceived intruder with an Ice Beam. The attack knocked the girl backwards into Aurora's lap, the Night Nurse then using hypnotize on the girl to put her to sleep.

Trance, meanwhile, was rolling on the floor laughing.

"What the hell is that?" Saravi asked as she tried to control her heart rate.

Aurora looked up at the ice-type and shrugged. "Until a few seconds ago, she was a screaming Pia. Now she is an unconscious Pia. Any other questions?"

Larix raised her hand. "I've got one: since when is the air-head useful?"

------------------------

A few hours later, Trance and Seria sat on either side of the unconscious girl before them, now with Larix' bandana in her mouth as an improvised gag against any more screaming.

Trance reached forward and gently shook the girl awake. Her blue eyes slowly opened and as soon as she recognized the people around her as not her tamer, she inhaled to scream.

Before she could release the held breath, Trance held a finger up in front of his own lips, smiling gently. This gave the girl pause and instead she simply exhaled, attempting to ask something, but it was muffled by the cloth in her mouth.

Trance smiled and reached behind the girl's head as Seria reached for the knot holding the girl's arms still against the bed to keep her from hurting herself. "I'm Trance, and this is my Alpha, Seria. We're going to let you go, and have no intention of hurting you. Please don't scream again."

When she nodded, Seria and Trance deftly removed her bindings and sat back. Aurora set a tray of food down beside the girl who looked at it suspiciously. "Where are we?"

Trance smiled at the question. He had just lost 2000 credits to Kara. "We are in the Azalea Town Pokégirl Center."

The girl's fuzzy eyebrows furrowed. "Azalea Town? But Shelby said we were going to Goldenstar."

Now was Trance's turn to look confused. "Shelby?"

The Pia nodded, seriously eyeballing the tray of food now, which Aurora pushed closed to her. "Yeah, she was my neighbor and my parents made a deal with her to take me with her when she finally got her Tamer's license."

Now Trance's stomach dropped. "I take it you both lived here in Azalea." The girl's head nodded and she reached to grab the fruit cup that was tempting her. "I take it she had a thing for the Pia line?" Her fuzzy head nodded again, now unable to talk thanks to the mouthful of food. "Then I have some bad news."

The girl set the fruit cup down and stared at her hands. "She's dead isn't she."

Now everybody was rather confused. Everybody but Aurora anyway. "How did you guess?"

The girl looked up with a sad smile on her face. "When my momma died, the officer who came to tell us started off the same way." She shrugged lightly. "It's alright though. Death happens, and people go. Shelby was a nice person, but you seem nice too so I can't be too sad."

Trance smiled and held out his hand. "Trance Havok, at your service miss."

This earned him a funny look from the girl, but she took his hand and smiled back. "Marci Dela-" she paused and shook her head. "I'm Marci, Master, unless you wish to change it."

Trance chuckled. "Three things. First, if you're happy with your name, then Marci you shall remain. Second, I hate that title, so in private just call me Trance. In public it's sir at most."

Now Larix chimed in. "Aww, but you seem to enjoy me calling you master. At least that's the impression I got when you had me tied up over-"

"JUST SIR-" Trance said loudly to cut the firey female off. "-since Sir is more than enough to appease the hateful masses."

Marci giggled and tilted her head. "What's the third thing?"

Trance's grin got wider. "If you want to stay with us, then you get to go through training just like everybody else. And I promise it will be harder than anything you've ever done in your life until now. Think you still want to stay here?"

Marci giggled and flexed slightly. "I've always loved a challenge Master."

Half the room giggled.

07:17, August 20th 312AS, Azalea Town

Trance had his troops assembled behind the Pokécenter, in the spacious park. Most of his girls were wide awake and ready for the morning routine, but Marci was still nodding off where she stood.

"Why are we up this early? I wasn't even aware there WAS a 7am until today," Marci grumbled groggily.

Trance laughed wholeheartedly, his booming voice echoing off the trees and his two fangs glistening in the early morning sunlight. "Morning air is good for you. And I did promise you hell, did I not?"

The heavily armored Dina, just having returned from the Blacksmith's a few hours before everybody else woke up, giggled now and elbowed the much smaller child lightly in the shoulder, sending her stumbling into Kara beside her. "Besides, we like minimizing the time we spend not moving in the wild to lower the risk of getting ambushed, so we stay up late, and get up early."

Aurora giggled as she watched Kara try to help the wobbly Pia stand. "I'm still not sure what the effects of the sleep deprivation are having on our fearless leader, but I do believe he's positively mad."

Trance's grin widened. "I know that I'm mad. I've always been mad!"

The small army of girls laughed until Trance clapped his hands together once signaling for silence. In quick order he had them paired off to help each other with their pre-workout stretches, something Trance took great, shameless enjoyment out of watching, and something that his loving harem took even greater enjoyment out of perverting for his entertainment.

Trance simply stared for a good few moments as Seria lay on her back, Kara helping her to hold one leg as far over her head as possible. This was obviously merely to tease since the entire harem knew Seria was the most flexible of the lot, and had absolutely no trouble holding one or both legs behind her head.

This had served well when Trance was teaching Larix and Vera about the many uses of rope during bondage play.

Trance had no issue with this however. His girls knew how to stretch, and watching Kara grind her cloth clad mound on the black-furred alpha's thigh was a welcome show.

Trance came back to reality quickly, and continued his surveillance of the rest of his harem. Dina was assisting in teaching Marci proper stretching technique, something she picked up on easily, while Larix and Saravi were paired off. Trance could have sworn he saw steam coming off the pair, but it could have been his imagination.

---------------------

A while later, after the stretches were done (and Marci's self induced pulled muscle was healed) Trance had the girls sparring, the ones that had recently evolved sparring against the ones who knew how to handle their abilities.

Larix was facing Dina, more to test Dina's resilience to fire attacks than anything else, and was learning new tricks about finding an armored opponent's weak points without tamer input.

Kara had Marcy since both Kara and Trance had been trained together, and while Trance could have been a certified instructor, Kara was pretty high on the pole herself. Trance couldn't find any issue with how they were doing.

Aurora and Saravi were squaring off in the next arena. While Aurora had still evolved recently, her control was masterful, and with her armor and magic she could take a decent beating, which was more the point since her job was to refine Saravi's technique. The Hoarfoxx had miraculously managed not to trip once so far.

'Whoops,' Trance thought as he spotted Saravi's balance shift thanks to her unfamiliar tail. 'Guess I thought too soon on that one.'

Trance reached the last ring and was very pleased with what he saw.

Seria and Solara were battling here. Seria was trying to increase her speed and accuracy, while Solara was slowly building up her Melee skills. This match was pretty even since Solara had so little experience, but could easily dodge most of Seria's attacks. Trance watched as Seria used a favorite combo of hers, Quick Attack combined with a kick to the ribs, which launched the Sonica off to the other side of the ring.

Seeing that combo used against such a fast opponent kick-started the normal flurry of activity inside the raven haired tamer's head as he thought of different battle strategies.

So when the friendly male voice from behind him said 'Hi' at only a couple feet away, Trace's reaction wasn't entirely unexpected.

The cat-eared male's eyes were huge in his head as Trance quickly retracted the blade that seconds ago had it's tip pressed into his trachea. "Sorry about that, but I don't like to be snuck up on," Trance explained, grinning sheepishly.

The red head chuckled nervously and rubbed his throat. "Yeah I'm sorry too. Two blood gifts and a curse, and the combo of the three makes me pretty hard to detect." The man stuck his hand out and smiled. "As I was saying a second ago, Hi, my name is Craven, and I must say your girls are looking to be in peak condition. Would you care for a challenge?"

Trance took the hand and shook it. "Trance. I'm going to have to pass on your offer. I'm not in the market to gain, or lose, a girl right now. All we'd like to do is train."

Craven laughed. "I didn't mean a salvage battle, though with the number of greedy little punks that is out there now, I can't blame you for expecting one." Trance's harem was now slowly pulling in from their training to listen in on their tamer's conversation. "All I ask is a 3-on-3 Pokégirl battle, with a small monetary wager to give something to shoot for. Other than bragging rights of course."

Trance could feel the energy flowing from his harem behind him, and he knew what the answer was going to be. "Aurora, take everyone in to get healed. We'll start the battle as soon as you come back."

The girls were all smiles as they collected kisses and their pokéballs from their tamer before running inside.

Trance watched as his girls went inside before turning back to his opponent and looking at his green ears. "So I take it your mother is a Catnip?"

Craven's ears flicked and he laughed. "Actually my mother is a Dracona. We honestly have no idea where the feline DNA came from." Trance's laugh revealed his canines and the newcomer cocked his head to the side. "How about you? Those fangs of yours look like they wouldn't look out of place in my Mom's grin."

Trance's tongue automatically slid over the sharpened teeth. "Beats me. Lots of dragon blood in my family, but as far as I know I don't have that particular blood curse."

Craven nodded. "It isn't necessarily needed. I'm friends with a couple research assistants in the nearby lab and they think that the amount of dilution in the gene-pool could cause humans to fully mutate in a few hundred years."

Trance cocked his head and took a seat on a nearby bench. "Really? Where's their evidence?"

Craven took a seat beside him and pulled off one of his pokéballs, rolling it in his fingers as he spoke. Trance caught sight of the ball's odd coloring of black and white and filed it away for later reference. "Well just look at you. What are the most common bloodlines in your family?"

Trance adjusted to more easily see his new friend. "Heavy on Dragon and fighting types, and my mother is an Amachamp."

"Could you do me a favor and remove your shirt?" Craven asked, causing Trance to raise an eyebrow. "I would like to see your muscular structure."

Trance shrugged and stood up, pulling his black T-shirt over his head in the process, leaving him in just his black basketball shorts and tennis shoes.

Craven stood up and began examining the slightly younger tamer's body. "You look like you've been trained heavily in some form of martial arts." Trance nodded as Craven circled, lightly running his fingers over Trance's taut shoulders. "It shows. And you said your mother is an Amachamp, right?"

Trance nodded again. "She's actually the one who trained me." Trance felt slightly weird having this stranger run his hands across him in a fashion that reminded him of the way his harem did, but he held still to see where he was going with this.

Craven stopped behind him and, while pressing a little harder, ran his fingers over the young man's entire back to get an exact layout of the muscles that weren't visible. As his hand passed over a particularly sensitive spot on his lower back, Trance let out a quiet, involuntary moan that immediately caused a blush to spread from his face to his shoulders.

Craven didn't comment though, since he was still trying to make his point. He ran his hands back up Trance's back and stopped near the shoulder blades. "Have you done any weight training to focus in this area, or were you injured in any way?"

Trance shook his head. "Not that I can remember, why do you ask?"

The red-headed tamer slid a couple fingers over the muscles near his shoulder blades. "Because right here is about where the wings on a dragon type 'girl would be. The muscles in this area are noticeably larger than they would be otherwise on a human who has spent their lives in a dojo." Craven pulled his hand back and finished his circle. "Also, the muscles on the rest of your body look more like they should be on a fighting type, perhaps an Amachop."

Trance cocked his head slightly. "You're extremely knowledgeable of the human body," he said, watching Craven's body language as he stood there.

The cat-eared male chuckled. "Yeah, well that may be because I've studied to be a doctor since I was 13. I'm actually going to be quitting the taming profession in the next couple years to enroll in school."

Trance grinned. "Felt more like you've been studying massage therapy with how you were examining my muscles."

Craven returned the grin and gave Trance a wink. "Suffice it to say I've been enjoying the human form every night since I got my license, and my lovers normally enjoy a good massage before we get down to business."

"So we leave you alone for 5 minutes, and you somehow manage to lose your shirt for a strange tamer?" Kara's mirth-filled voice called as Trance's harem returned.

Craven turned towards the girls. "Sorry ladies, but I couldn't resist. I just thought he was so cute that I had to get him to undress for me." The raucous laughter at the comment caused Trance to perform his chameleon impression again, which of course caused the laughter to amplify.

"We were having a scientific discussion about the human body," Trance explained as he pulled his shirt back on with impressive speed.

Aurora leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "Sure you were baby. I can't blame you though, he's kinda cute."

Trance somehow managed to get redder and decided there was no way to win so he moved on. "So, what are the rules of this battle?"

The Poke-gened tamer laughed and pulled a ball off his belt. "Simple. 3-on-3 with substitutions allowed only after a hit is made against you, and since a battle to the death is pointless, and not to mention extremely counter productive, 2 wins takes it. Loser buys dinner."

"That has to include harems as well, because I never eat without my girls, and they eat no worse than I do," Trance clarified as one by one he collected his harem's pokéballs and set each one in it's place on his belt.

Craven's grin only widened. "Likewise. I wouldn't dream of leaving out such lovely company from meal time." He turned and walked approximately 50 Meters away and yelled back at Trance. "Since I'm the challenger, I'll choose first!" Craven threw one of his tuxedo pokéballs, and released a slightly gray skinned female who stood approximately 5'8" and had platinum blonde hair. The girl stretched and adjusted her leather armor across her bust before pulling the 6' quarterstaff off her back.

"You're up first Euca! Let's show 'em what you're made of!" Craven called out getting a nod in response.

Trance, spotting the girl's pointed ears went to grab his pokédex to get a read on the female, but Seria jumped up and down excitedly, pointing at herself. Trance laughed and shrugged. "Sure. She's all yours darlin'." The black furred alpha clapped her hands together and took her place on their side of the field.

Out of curiosity Trance pulled his pokédex off his belt and aimed it at Euca.

Trance cocked his head as he read. "The Sexlestial Pokégirl? What kind of wierdo named this gir- ah crap!" Trance looked up at his dark-type Alpha and raised his voice so she could hear him. "She's strong against dark-types and has speed enhancements that could give you problems! Think fast and hit hard!"

Seria gave him a salute and turned back to her opponent who was lazily twirling her staff while simultaneously rolling her shoulders and neck to loosen her muscles.

Solara sped across the field to the half-way point and raised a white and black pair of panties that Trance recognized as belonging to Kara. Trance looked back at his Lady Luck who just giggled and adjusted her shorts. He laughed and looked back at the field.

Solara was jumping around excitedly as she stood in the "Ref box" waving the panties around. "1-on-1, 3 rounds, and substitutions only after damage is taken!" Both tamers nodded and Solara suddenly got serious and held the panties to her nose for a second before raising them high above her head. "Ready!" Both girls tensed. "Begin!" As soon as Solara brought the panties down, both Seria and Euca shot towards each other, meeting in the middle of the arena. Seria swung a fist at the girl's head, only to be blocked by Euca's staff, followed by a swift kick to the stomach that easily knocked the wind out of Seria's sails, and had the added effect of sending a large electric shock through the dark-type's smaller frame.

Euca quickly followed the Lightning Kick with a Thunder Wave and a strong back-swing from the staff, sending Seria flying a good ten feet away.

The Umbria tried to stand up and was quickly hit with a Thunderbolt that knocked her back to her knees.

Meanwhile Trance, standing back at his mark, had fallen to his knees when the first electrified kick hit, the psychic feedback causing his world to spin, and the feedback from each ensuing electrical and physical strike caused his quiet moan of agony to amplify in volume.

Seria had sustained heavy damage, but she managed to avoid the next attack, this one a Drill Kick, by rolling to the side and throwing a Dark Bomb that sent the elf-girl reeling. Seria managed to finally drag herself to her feet but as soon as she was finally up, she was hit in the chest with a Mystic Bolt that finished the dark-type off, thankfully ending Trance's anguish.

"Seria is unable to battle! Point to Euca and Craven!" Solara announced.

Aurora noticed Trance hadn't registered that the fight was over and pulled Seria's ball off his belt before using heal on Trance's head, easing the pain from his migraine.

Craven, seeing this, recalled his girl and quickly made his way across the field to see what the problem was. Solara of course was there long before he was. "What happened?"

Trance was covered in sweat and breathing hard, but he managed to lay back on the grass of his own volition and stared at the sky through his sunglasses. "Nothing too major, just the fact that Seria has a low threshold for pain when it comes to electrical attacks and we're Delta-bonded. I hope you don't mind, but I need to take 5 if I'm going to be of any use tactically for my team."

Craven laughed and nodded. "I have no issue with that. Last thing I want on my conscience is winning because your brain melted."

Aurora scoffed as she held up Seria's pokéball. "What brain? If he had one than Seria wouldn't have been allowed to fight Euca!"

Trance sighed and nodded. "Agreed. Next time I read the entry first."

-----------------------------------------

After a brief intermission in which Seria was run through a healing cycle and Trance was allowed time to clear his head, both tamers were in their proper places and Solara had exchanged the checkerboard panties for a dark purple pair that Trance guessed belonged to Aurora.

"Round 2! Trance chooses his combatant first!" Solara called out as she brought the panties to her face again.

This time Trance signaled to Dina who nodded and walked out onto the field.

Craven grinned and pulled off another pokéball. "Fighting/Steel type huh? Simple enough. Tina! Come on out!" The pokéball released a 6' tall black haired Domina type girl wearing purple and green leather, thought the green wasn't nearly as vibrant as anything Kara would have worn.

Trance pulled his pokédex out and tagged the enemy Pokégirl.

Trance smiled as he read the entry. "Well, a Widow fighter, huh? Sounds like this'll be fun." He put his 'dex away and looked back up. "Poison and lots of it! Domina as well!"

Dina nodded and Solara finished sniffing the panties long enough to raise them above her head. "Round 2! Fight!"

The very first thing the Venom Mistress did was release two large clouds of dust, and began walking towards her enemy, her hand filling with a white powder. Trance recognized the shimmer from all three of these and warned Dina. "Careful! You've got Lust Dust and Sleep Powder in the air, and what looks like Itchy Power in her hands! Keep your distance and wait for the air to clear!"

Dina launched a Chi Blast at Tina, forcing the girl to dodge, but she immediately began to charge Dina, the piles of powder in her hands slowly growing to make up for what the wind took.

Dina sent another Chi blast at her attacker, but was forced to jump to dodge in order to avoid the powder now being thrown at her. Tina missed most of her target, but grinned widely as her foe's left arm slid through the cloud, and Dina was scratching at her armor before she even hit the ground.

"Damnit! That's some powerful stuff to get through my armor," Dina growled as she spun, aiming a reverse kick at Tina's torso. The attack missed, but she succeeded in getting some distance between her and her opponent.

Tina curtseyed. "Powerful, and very fine grain. Your armor has to breathe and bend somehow, and that powder exploits the tiny little cracks in the joints to reach your skin." As soon as she had finished talking, Tina drew her whip and slid her hand down it's length to coat it in poison before swinging, aiming at Dina's only point of exposed flesh, her face.

Dina simply turned to avoid the attack and reached out to grab the whip. The end wrapped around her gauntlet covered hand which closed like a vice before the much larger girl gave a pull, causing both whip and wielder to fly towards her. She swung her closed fist in a Meteor Punch that connected heavily with Tina's face, forcing her to release her grip on her whip, and launching her backwards into her own cloud of poisons.

Tina landed on her feet, albeit shakily, and shook her head clear as the remains of the cloud settled, a small drop of blood running from her nose. Dina Threw the whip to the side and charged her enemy, this time charging up her Meteor Punch to do extra damage. She was stopped in mid-step mere inches away from releasing her attack when Tina blew hard in her direction, hitting her with a smoke screen.

Dina flinched when the attack hit her face which gave Tina the opening she needed to hit her with a Mega Drain delivered by a blow to the slightly lighter armor covering her stomach. The combined effect knocked the wind out of Dina, forcing her to inhale deeply of the smoke screen.

The wind was facing the other direction, but Trance could still smell the powerful stench of Cannabis. "Don't inhale!" Trance yelled as Tina hit Dina with another Mega Drain followed by more of the smoke.

"Too late!" Dina yelled back as she exhaled and rolled free. 'Wonderful,' she thought, 'Now my arm itches and I've got about a minute until that stuff hits my head, so I've gotta end this quick. Oh well, here goes nothing.' Dina used her momentum to roll onto her feet and charged at Tina who was running for her whip. Dina couldn't allow that and launched another Chi blast that took out her opponent's legs, dropping her to her knees. She then charged up a Mach Punch and caught the girl between the shoulder blades as she went down, propelling her face first into the ground with such force that her head caused a small crater to form around her.

Dina charged a Meteor Punch in the event she moved again, but released it when Solara called the match over. Just in time too, since the weed was beginning to effect her. She began giggling in joy but was cut off when she was recalled.

Trance tossed Dina's pokéball to Aurora who saluted and headed back inside the center.

"Round 3! Craven will choose first!" Solara yelled. Craven had already picked his third girl and tossed her into the ring. This time the two-toned ball released a snake girl who was approximately 18' from heat to tail tip with brilliant blue and black scales, light-blue hair, white eyes, and a distinctive cobra-like hood on the back of her head.

Trance didn't need the pokédex for this one, he knew it by heart. "Larix! You're up. She's an Arbust, so she's poisonous to the touch."

The fire-type grinned and cracked her knuckles as she strode to her starting point. "That's fine Master, she's about to learn that I am too."

"Begin!" yelled Solara from her own mark.

Larix near instantly began trowing Napalm out around the field, directing her opponent's movements as the snake girl slid silently towards her, her speed impressing even Solara. Larix waited to attack however. She waited until she saw her slithering opponent about to strike, and used her ignite ability.

"Dani! Fall back!" Craven yelled as soon as he figured out Larix' plan, but Dani had already launched her wrap attack.

Dani's naturally poison coated scales, which normally would have instantly poisoned an opponent, dried almost as soon as she came into contact with the flames coating Larix' body, making contact with Larix the more dangerous. Dani used her muscular body to force Larix backwards and away from her, but the snake girl's aim went fowl and she ended up landing directly in one of the many Napalm flares.

Dani screamed and tried to free herself, but the pain she was experiencing was causing control of her nervous system to fail, resulting in her dragging herself from the flames. Larix leisurely walked closer to her flailing opponent, dropped her ignite, and blasted her with a Flamethrower.

Dani, now free of the flames moved to attack, but the pain from her many burns made her release a blood curdling scream as several of the burns on her skin split.

Craven sighed and recalled the girl, signaling Solara for the end of the match. Larix fell to her knees.

"Dani is unable to battle. Point, and match victory, go to Trance!"

Craven crossed the field and shook Trance's hand. "Looks like you win."

Trance and Craven turned to look at Larix who was still kneeling in her spot. Trance closed the distance quickly and knelt behind his girl, a salty scent picked up by his sensitive nose. "Are you okay Larix?"

"Sorry," she muttered as she fought tears.

Trance was now extremely concerned. "Sorry? Sorry for what? You did great!"

Larix sobbed and the tears began to flow heavier. "But I caused her so much pain. Couldn't you hear her screams? She didn't deserve that. She was my opponent, not my enemy."

Craven laughed from his place a few feet behind Trance. "Are you kidding? That was one of the best battles I've seen in a while! The level difference between you should have been more than enough to compensate, but she's always been impatient. Your attacks were so precise and well calculated, it almost looked as if you'd already planned out the entire battle."

Larix wrapped her arms around herself, "B-but her screams-" her body heaved as her stomach tried to empty itself, but her face was lifted by a slender finger under her chin. Red eyes met purple and Larix fell over like a sack of potatoes.

Aurora sighed as she stood up. "You know, I keep forgetting that I'm the oldest person in your harem. The way that she normally acts, you'd think she was some coldhearted killer, but I guess she's never caused anyone that level of pain before. All her other opponents have never been that sensitive to fire, or they were so feral that it didn't even register with them that they were burning."

Trance recalled the unconscious fire-type and shook his head. "Nothing we can do now. I guess we just need to let her rest."

"Think apologizing to Danielle would help?" Craven asked as he looked at Larix' ball.

Trance shrugged. "Beats me, but it's worth a shot."

Craven grinned. "Excellent. She can do it at dinner tonight. Meet me at 'Romero's on 15th' at 8:30 sharp. Since I lost, I'll be treating you all to the best food Azalea Town has to offer!" The cat-eared tamer bowed and turned to head back to the Pokécenter.

Just as Trance was about to recall his harem and head back inside himself, he heard the piercing cry of a whistle, followed by yelling that he couldn't understand, even with enhancements. He turned to see a Jenny running towards him, a Squirtitty running along beside her.

Trance looked at the field and groaned. The grass had been turned to ash in several large patches, and another few were either still burning, or smoldering a lot.

"Great," Trance said just loud enough for Aurora to hear. "I was just thinking 'I wonder when we'll get another visit from those lovely police officers that have been watching me for nearly a week.'"

Aurora rolled her eyes and stepped a bit behind her tamer, just far enough away to not seem rude, but close enough that should the woman say something stupid, she could stop Trance from strangling her. It had been 4 days since the police force had started keeping heavy watch on them, and today had been the first day Trance had gone outside in exactly that long, meaning he had 4 days of pent up energy that his curse could feed off of.

"Someone's gonna get shot, aren't they?" Kara asked solemly as she took up her spot on the other side of their tamer.

"I can hold my tongue," Trance said emphatically as the Jenny finished closing the distance.

Trance awoke on the cold floor with his head pounding like a bass drum, a very sore back, and staring at a concrete ceiling.

"Why am I in a jail cell?"
