Gabrielle’s face lit up with a smile as her gaze danced around the beautiful outfits. Normally she didn’t really care about clothes all that much, they were mostly just there to stop people from complaining but the silk outfits on display were things that a princess would envy. She winced as Abby ran her hand over a particularly expensive looking crimson nightgown.

Abby grinned as her Gaby took a deep breath, while she liked it and it was soft, she was just having fun with her lover as she had noticed the price on it, “Soft.”

Gabrielle nodded, “We should have stopped here before we got the stuff from the department store.” She sighed before reaching out and ruffling Abby’s hair. “I‘ll see how much we have left over after we price out the armor.”

The shopkeeper was amused as she watched the young lady look over her wares. She didn’t get that many tamers in here, most of her clients were rich air heads with a bit too much bimbo in their ancestry.  Tamer’s typically went for cheaper more practical things. “Can I help you?”

Gabrielle turned to look at the middle-aged lady, the lady’s too luxurious silky hair was the only real clue that the women wasn’t human. “I was hoping to hire the seamstress here, I have it on good authority that she’s one of the best around.”

The shopkeeper smiled as she sensed a fat commission, “Not that she isn’t but Ariana isn’t exactly the cheapest girl around. And what exactly do you need her near legendary skill for?”

“I find myself in need of someone with the skill to fashion some rather rare material into battle suits suitable for enchanting, I was led to believe that she would have the skill but if I was in error?” She started to turn toward the door.

“What’s the material? And what do you want it to look like?”

Gabrielle shrugged, “The same material that the dragonslave underwear is made out of. We need eleven suits, specially tailored, one for myself and one for my brother the rest for our harems. As for looks, I‘m thinking a body suit that would fit under other clothes.”

She licked her lips, eleven specially tailored suits would be pricey she briefly wondered if the girl could afford it but tossed the thought away, if the girl could afford that much of such a pricey material then her prices wouldn’t be out of the question. Besides her harem sister would get a kick out of making it. “Alright you know you would have to stand for the measurements yes?”

Gabrielle nodded, “Yeah, that shouldn’t be a problem.” Just meant she would have to get Morrigan here, but that shouldn’t be much of a problem, besides it would be a good excuse to send Olive back. She was fairly sure that Rose would go for it in a heartbeat just to get Taika’s mother out of the next room. Nothing ruined the romantic vibe like the girl’s mother being in the bedroom next door. She was dragged from her musing as the shopkeeper shouted in the direction of the backroom, “Ariana I have some business you might be interested in.” She wasn’t sure what to expect but the plan faced lady that stepped out of the back wasn’t it. With her short hair, average face and with her being only about five foot two the lady wouldn’t have stood out in any city of the world if it wasn’t for her bright clothes. They weren’t quite to the oh my god I fell into a vat of tie-dye stage but it was close, though strangely in a good way.

Ariana smiled, “You have work? Something breathtaking yes?”

Gabrielle grinned, “I’m sure you’ll have fun. I need eleven combat suits suitable for enchanting made, and I would prefer them as soon as possible.”

Ariana smiled, “Well shall we talk prices then get down to business?”

Gabrielle nodded, “How soon can you start?”

“That depends.” The seamstress smiled.

“On?”

“How good your money is.”

Gabrielle smiled, some things didn’t really change no matter where you were. “Have no worries it’s good.” She winced when Ariana told her the opening bid. While it was doable it would leave her more than a little broke especially after acquiring the rest of the supplies for enchanting the suits. She smiled as she tossed in the counter bid, she knew the girl wasn’t going to pass up the chance to do such interesting work, at least as long as she avoided insulting her with too low of a price.

Morrigan wasn’t particularly happy about being back in a shop, nor about the two strangers seeing her half naked, well three if you counted the new witch, at least she had her harem sisters for support. Though she was going to be minus one new sister if the witch didn’t stop staring at her breasts. She turned and glared at Melody, “Just because they are blue and bounce nicely doesn’t mean they need to be stared at.”

Melody giggled, “Oh come on, they’re cute. Lighten up.”

“She’s got a point.” Sarah snickered as she noticed how aroused the witch was, “Well two actually.”

“Hey, that’s not fair.”

Gabrielle smiled as she glanced around the backroom where her girls were getting measured. “Ladies we’re almost done, then the nice lady can start on our armor.” She placed a hand over her dark elf’s mouth to keep her from retorting. “Can we stop the complaining, at least until we get back to the hotel?” They had decided that a continued stay in the same casino they had conned so much money out of wasn’t the brightest idea in the world so they had sent most of the supplies back home with Rose and Olive and booked a couple of rooms at one of the local hotels. She pulled her hand away from Morrigan’s mouth as she felt it being licked. She smiled as she reached out and ran her slobbered hand through Morrigan’s hair, “Hey we’re almost done here, then we can go have some fun.”

Morrigan frowned in distaste, “Hey, gross. I know, it’s just being inside makes me nervous, but it’s too bright outside.”

Ariana smiled as she finished measuring the last of the girls. “Alright, get, shoo, let me get to work and I’ll have the stuff done for you in a week.”

Gabrielle sighed, she wasn’t sure this was the best idea in the world but her girls had been bugging her for a while to try out a gym battle and she had a week to waste so here she was in the Goldenrod gym‘s waiting room with only her clothes and four pokeballs. She was happy she hadn’t drawn the gym leader for her first gym battle, merely one of her assistants. The rules of the challenge were simple a two on two match with two substitutes allowed. She had decided to pick Morrigan and Helen as her mains and Sarah and Abby as her backups. She just hoped she didn’t embarrass herself too much. She couldn’t help the shiver that went down her spine as the doors opened and revealed a simple dirt floor in a large oval room. There were two platforms one on each side of the room. She headed toward the unoccupied one and climbed the ladder.

Melvin looked out across the way at the green looking kid standing nervously on the stand across from him. He was surprised the girl had gotten up the nerve to challenge the gym. Still that wasn’t going to stop him from putting up a good fight and crushing her until she cried and ran off home. Despite the gym being ran by a girl he was still of the opinion that tamers should be guys. He grinned as he released his two pokegirls.

Gabrielle frowned as the guy’s the weasel like pokegirl and Milktit appeared on his side of the field. She called forth Helen and Morrigan. “Go get them girls.”

Helen glanced over her two opponents, “I’ll take the Milktit you take the weasel?”

“Sure, I’ve got just the thing.” Morrigan grinned as she discretely cupped her hand with it facing away from her opponent. She whispered the incantation for a simple conjuration spell as she waved her other hand around in a complicated casting gesture. She tossed up a shield as the weasel creature moved toward her.

Helen glanced over at the other Milktit and muttered, “No time like the present.” She raised her hands and gestured calling on her power to cast bio.

Melvin was not happy, not only was his Milktit looking a bit green from the poison but his Mongoosed was facing off against a magic type. “Mongoose get in close and tackle her. Milkgirl rush her and take her down.”

Gabrielle tried to ignore the crowd as she watched her girls work. While she was ready to call out suggestions if she noticed anything that needed her girl’s attention, she unlike the other guy, trusted her girls to battle their way. She winced slightly as Morrigan tossed her handful of conjured ghost chili pepper into the weasel girl’s face as she tried to tackle her. Gabrielle thought it was a bit overkill when her dark elf kicked the crying and gasping girl in the face to put her out of her misery. She knew what having pepper tossed in your face felt like especially when you had enhanced senses, basically like sticky liquid fire. Still she had to hand it to her girl it was an effective if vindictive technique.

Helen winced as the girl slammed her fist into her arms, even blocking it the punch hurt. The damn girl must be half way to being a minotaura. She used her innate magic to call forth a protect spell as she tried to dodge the other girl’s increasingly wild attacks.

Melvin sighed as he recalled his Mongoosed. He was seriously less than happy about the way this battle was going. The damn girl was supposed to be a first year tamer, not some combat veteran. He figured it was time to pull out one of his aces. He quickly released his Slicer, “Cut the dark elf up.”

Morrigan sighed as she raised her hands and ruby light flowed out of them to entangle the Slicer with runic chains.

Helen grinned as she ducked down and twisted away from the other Milktit before spinning back around with a flower kick into her face causing the already weakened girl to crumple.

Melvin hurriedly tried to recall his girl and toss out his next one before they could double team his frantically struggling Slicer.

Helen knew she was in trouble as the new girl appeared. Half human half horse she knew it wasn’t going to end well for her. The Rapitaur quickly dashed toward her easily avoiding the mana bolt that was tossed her way. Helen felt something give as the girl hit her at full speed.

Gabrielle winced as she saw the girl smash into Helen before making a dash toward Morrigan. She quickly retrieved Helen before releasing Abby and tossing her a mental command. “Take the Slicer out first then invis.”

Morrigan snarled as she lost the grip on her runic chains as she was forced to jump into the air to avoid the Rapitaur’s charge.

Abby turned and tossed a Firaga at the Slicer just as she watched Morrigan be cut out of the air with the other girl’s newly formed fire scythe.

Gabrielle wanted to scream at the assistant as Morrigan was impaled and tossed to the ground like a sack of rotting potatoes by the girl’s fire attack. Her breath caught in her throat as she quickly pokeballed her dying girl hoping it wasn’t too late. She breathed a sigh of relief as the beam scooped her girl up. She snarled as she released Sarah, “Take the bitch down hard.”

Melvin smirked, he wasn’t exactly sure what girl the other team had released but he was confident that his Rapitaur would break them in half as she had rarely let him down. “Get the cat girl first.”

Abby barely managed to phase out a second before the other girl’s flaming scythe would have cut her in half. She tossed a thought to her sister, “If you distract her I’ll set something up.”

Sarah nodded before calling up her aura barrier. She smiled grimly as she called on her magic to speed her movements. It wasn’t much against a girl as fast as a Rapitaur but at this point anything was a better than nothing. She pulled out her deck before flipping over the top card and sending a swirl of water at the girl.

The Rapitaur turned and snarled at the girl that dared to attack it with a water attack. She smiled viciously, to her line of thinking the girl wasn’t even in the same league in power levels. She used ignite to get the girl to dodge hoping that she wouldn’t be set up for the charge. She snarled in frustration when the girl vanished with a faint pop. She quickly scanned the opposite side of the room. The damn magic girl was standing there readying a spell. Well easy enough fix, “Flame Tower.”

Abby was less than amused as the flaming waves of fire came her way, she trusted her sister to protect her but it was still unnerving. She worked faster on her conjuration and illusion work.

Sarah smiled as she countered the girl’s flame towers with another use of her water card. “Going to have to come get me bitch.” She smiled as the girl charged across the room at her. It was almost beautiful how the girl’s hooves caused the leftover water to splash up as she accelerated toward her.

Melvin’s vicious smile was wrenched from his face as his charging Rapituar’s legs exploded in a mess of fleshy bits as she smashed into an invisible wall in front of the other girl’s magic type.

Sarah winced at the sound of snapping bones followed by the incoherent screams of pain of the Rapituar thrashing in front of her.

The ref’s voice as he declared the challenger the winner fell on deaf ears, as he could only stare helplessly at the broken body of his oldest girl and how she’d been so horribly injured because of his hubris.

Abby felt sick as she watched the mangled Rapituar sliding slowly down her wall. It was one thing killing demons or even wild pokegirls that were trying to kill you but it was quite another knowing you were responsible for a mostly innocent girl losing her legs, maybe permanently, one who’s only real crime was having an idiot for a tamer. She barely noticed the other tamer’s retrieval beam as her sister pulled her into a hug.

Sarah pulled her crying sister into a hug as she waited for her master, despite what Gabrielle said to call her, there were things about being a pokegirl that her master would never quite understand, that being one of them. Still it was a relief when her lover’s arms snaked around her and pulled her close. “Can we get out of here?”

Gabrielle hugged her girls close, “Soon.”

William couldn’t believe his eyes, the whole fight up until the end had been spectacular, even better than quidditch in some ways but that heart stopping finale had ruined it. Sure people had gotten injured in quidditch over the years but not like that. It made him understand just how dangerous pokegirls fighting could be.  He hugged Echo and promised to take care of her as best he could.

Leo was feeling more than a little sick himself though more than a little of that was because there were still a number of people cheering the match. It drove home just how few people thought pokegirls were human here.

Tiffany sighed, “I don’t think this is what she was thinking about when she suggested a gym battle.”

Leo nodded, “Yeah, not so much. Still probably wasn’t the best idea trying to do a gym battle with combat monkeys. You don’t know when to give up.”

Tiffany sighed, “No we don’t, but neither do you. Might be better all around if we don’t participate in any either.”

William glanced over at Leo, “So what are we going to do now?”

Leo shrugged, “Probably get out of town for a few days, come back, pick up our new clothes and then head someplace else. I’m getting tired of this town.” He noticed a few uneasy looks from some of the locals, “Bit of wanderlust setting in.”

William nodded, “We should get back to the center, I’m sure that’s the first place Gaby is going.”

“Probably right.”
